Looking for Big Horn on the Middle Fork Trail

Next up in the search for the San Gabriel Big Horn Sheep. The Middle Fork Trail. This trail connects the Ice House Saddle with the Lytle Creek area. It is not as popular as many of the trails in this area. In fact, once on, the Middle Fork I did not see a single human track. Going solo has it's own challenges. Especially when traveling at night. I would rate the Middle Fork Trail as moderate to difficult. It certainly can get steep, and there are a few places where it is completely washed out. Yet there is water and waterfalls. Awesome views and mysteries yet to be solved. The trip report is with the pictures..

Excellent pics as usual. The sunset pics were very nice. Liked the older trip too.

I really liked your photos and commentary there. I'm really curious about those bags, too. What did the pellets appear to be made of? Some sort of vegetation, perhaps?

The last installment of the JMT Tourist is #8... And I am happy to announce has been completed.... (A while back) I am glad you enjoyed them, it was a trip of a lifetime for me.

The looked like a veggie based pellet. 1/2" round by 1 1/2" long. However I did not have a real good view. So I am not certain that is what they are. I was told by the local Rangers, they had reported it and who every they reported it too was going to call me. I have the GPS coordinates to the spot.
I will be heading back over that way to do some crosscountry travel. I will swing by and do a little more detailed investigation. But out in the middle of nowhere it did give me a little chuckle, because it had the flavor of the old movie Deliverance... Although in So Cal, it is more like hidden drugs or something.. LOL

On photo 57 of JMT #8 you wrote "soon the final JMT Toursit Album #9...... "The journey home."

So I was of course looking forward to it!! Ah, the disappointment!!

WHOOOPS, I forgot about that entry. My last album was in fact going to be number nine. However out of the 1200 pictures I had developed. The last three roles had some problems at the developers. Many of the pictures had a red blurry streak through them and I was not able to use them. So I posted a gear review and ended it there. Thank you for pointing that out. I will edit it...
