The Big 'Z' Revisited
Cool Hand and I are going to hike the 'Z' this coming weekend. Kinda leaning towards going to 'L' (where have I heard this before?) on Friday and will meet up with anyone at that campsite for either Friday or Saturday night shivering (er, chivalry?). Had a grat time two weeks ago, and am willing to repeat the experience w/freezing rain and snow. Coming with?

Hikerguy can't hit the trail until Saturday morning...and Cool Hand and I will be at camp when he arrives. Told me he's priming for the AT, so our measley 5+ miles won't satiate him. Suggest he takes the northern 5 mile loop as well if he's looking to put some trail underfoot. Me, I just wanna be out in it, and miles are are required to get there....

The southern loop
Cool Hand has decided he'd rather take the southern loop this weekend, so it's gonna be A-B-C...F back to A. Should find us at one of the two campsites on this circuit. Rain, snow and lower 20's at night. Should be good fun!

so where do you plan on camping the first night? I’m going to try to get some trail conditions later today (Friday) and make up a trail plan, will post as soon as I know. Crazy, are you going to make it? Are we going to try to meet up? Whats the dill-e-o here?

We are going to spend Saturday night at campsite 'C' for certain. Tonight will be campsite 'D' or 'C' depending on the weather/trail conditions. We're pretty much packed, just waiting for the fleece bag liners to come out of the dryer.

Looks like it should be drying up by Saturday with winds from the North at less than 10 mph. If you were to hike A-F-E-D-C (about 8 miles), we'll meet up with you at site 'C' Saturday evening. See you tomorrow night, Hikerguy!

sound like a plan Dan!!.....errr.... match
8 miles sounds just about right for the conditions. Take care, and stay warm... If anyone else wants to join looks like it will be a party at campsite C on saturday night. Feel free to join.
