The camp out was an idea I had if we were gonna have 12 people arriving Friday night...but my house will hold 6.

Since KarenT and I were lax in our duties last night, we can decide Friday night where we want to sleep.

We'll be in T3 R9, Saturday thru Tuesday.

The North Maine Woods (Gulf Hagas) is 207-435-6213, located in Ashland. We'll be in the KI-Jo Mary Forest Tuesday night and Wednesday.

The Western Region office that covers the Bigelow Preserve is 207-778-8231. Located in Farmington. We'll be at or near the Round Barn campsite from Wednesday night on.

Cell phones aren't allowed in BSP and there is no service anyway. I'm not sure about Gulf Hagas, and can't recall if the guy who charged his phone in monkeyboy's truck called from where we were, or back on the mtn.

In places where service is sporadic, there are "cell phone booths" which are places where you should be able to get service. Usually there is a sign.”

I ask because I am planning my departure on Saturday morning based on about how long it will take me to get to Dysart's. I'm figuring about two hours to the Maine border and then 180 miles up 95 to Dysart's, probably just shy of 5 hours for me. I don't think you want a call at 3 AM Saturday morning to see how things are progressing.”
