Brrrrr, It’s Cold!

“Old Man Winter has officially made his appearance. Had some snow squalls yesterday with near white out conditions. When I left for work this morning it was a scorching 4.5 degrees.”

“yikes! It's going to be 70 here.”

“lumberzac, it was about the same here in NH this morning. Maybe the snow we got yesterday will stick around for awhile.”

“I'm hoping for more snow. The squalls we got yesterday didn't last very long so we only got a dusting to an inch. Hopefully the Adirondacks got a little more than that. I'm itching to use my snowshoes.”

“Snowshoes, cross country skis, alpine skis....we need about another foot of snow!”

“It was 70°F. here two hours ago. Going to 75.

For Minnesota I thought the weather forecast said Plumes!" I was scared. But upon closer inspection, it just said "Fluries." Phew!”

“Heck, 4 degrees is balmy compared to Barrow, Alaska. Check it out. It's currently minus 23.”

“It's dark there, isn't it?”

BTW I see you signed up for the Mud & Bugs trip. This should be a fun one.”

“Today's HIGH will be minus 19. Maybe we should have the FYAO there. heh heh.. btw, I think Trekkngirl has hiked there. WHY, I don't know.

Zac - yeah, mud & bugs sounds like fun. HINT: Buy a bug net for this one.”

“12 at my house this morning. A high of 22 yesterday. A possible nor easter this weekend and I have to fly to California on Sunday.”

“Why would I want to do that? I can hike faster than black flies, deer flies on the other hand I guess we know that answer.

BTW - it has warmed up to 17”

“22 degrees this am on cape cod. prolly around zero with the wind chill on the beach. will walk in the woods until i acclimatize to the sudden temperature drop”

I work right off the water, and when I come down my street and the wind hits me SLAM!!

my legs were so cold this morning. I swear when I buy winter gear, i just wear it to work to test it out. My new down jacket is sooo warm!!
