Mammoth Mountain conditions were pretty bad from what I've been hearing. SnowDude had to work, so Calhiker and I drove to the Sierra Nevada to dayhike.

We hiked Thor Peak on Friday and found it a lot easier than it looked. We met with a Whitney forum member, Bob R, who has hiked the whole area and took us up the "Secret Route" and down the East Couloir.

My Canon Powershot S45 stitches the pano's. Not all come out perfect. I sent the big one (the really messed up one) to Calhiker and he fixed it for me. It would have taken me forever. I can only do the easy ones (2 photos). I'm still a newbie with panos.”
