Christmas DoodadsView Messages10:14:37 PM 2/18/04 “I used to watch Dark Shadows....but didn't recognize it!! I love you stuff Tilt...LOL.... always so entertaining......thanks...” 10:24:12 PM 2/18/04 “Can you imagine the Halloween vampire costume with that prop? Super Bad! Now I just have to wait til it goes on sale.... for like 1/10 the price! For that much cash I could but TWO of those Lord of the Rings swords with a sizable chunk of change left over! <G>” 10:44:14 PM 2/18/04 “Hey Tilt! I've been trying to find a song... "I wanted to be a space man That's what I wanted to be But now that I am a space man Nobody cares about me..." Or something like that. Do you know who sang it?” 10:53:51 PM 2/18/04 “ Bang bang shoot-em-up destiny Bang bang shoot-em-up to the moon Bang bang shoot-em-up one-two-three One two three four I wanted to be a space man That's what I wanted to be But now that I am a space man Nobody cares about me Hey Mother Earth won't you bring me back down Safely to the sea But round and around and around and around Is all she ever say to me I wanted to make a good run I wanted to go to the moon I knew that it had to be fun I told them to send me real soon I wanted to be a space man I wanted to be it so bad But now that I am a space man I'd rather to be back on the pad Hey, Mother Earth, won't you bring me back down Safely to the sea Around and around and around and around Is just a lot of lunacy Round and around and around and around and around So bring me back down Round and around and around and around and around Safe on the ground Hey, Mother Earth, better bring me back down Safely to the sea But around and around and around and around Is all she ever say to me You know I wanted to be a space man That's what I wanted to be But now that I am a space man Nobody cares about me Say hey, Mother Earth, better bring me back down I've taken just as much as I can But round and around and around and around Is the problem of the space man Ahhhh "Space Man" by the infamous Harry Nilsson? <G> Here's my favorite trick: when I'm looking for a song, doing a search on the title usually doesn't help at all... you'll just get a 'discography' or some simple list. But if you take the end of one line with the beginning of the next, (like "space man That's what I"), chances are good that you might turn up the whole thong. er... thing, LOL Now This is cool.... The person that had that also has the lyrics to: daybreak everybodys_talkin jump_into_the_fire me_and_my_arrow pov_waltz son.of.schmilsson space_man think_about_your_troubles without_you Sit beside the breakfast table Think about your troubles Pour yourself a cup of tea And think about the bubbles You can take your teardrops And drop them in a teacup Take them down to the riverside And throw them over the side To be swept up by a current And taken to the ocean To be eaten by some fishes Who were eaten by some fishes And swallowed by a whale Who grew so old... He decomposed... He died and left his body To the bottom of the ocean Now everybody knows That when a body decomposes The basic elements Are given back to the ocean And the sea does what it oughta And soon there's salty water (That's not too good for drinking) 'Cause it tastes just like a teardrop (So they run it through a filter) And it comes out from a faucet (And is poured into a teapot) Which is just about to bubble... Now Think about your troubles wow. More Wow.... The server is located at Sternberg Astronomical Institute (Moscow State University), so we can thank some Russian physicist for putting those lyrics up on the net! Heliophysics, Internal structure and seismology ” 11:38:56 PM 2/18/04 11:51:44 PM 2/18/04 cool! “Yes that's it! thanks, I knew you'd find it. I searched several sites for "space man" since I didn't know the title or the artist. I got fed up with the pop-ups. I'll have to try the "end of one line, beginning of the other" trick. thanks!” 7:35:54 AM 2/19/04 “Nothin' to it. YES - some of those sites turn into Pop-Up Hell in a hurry, LOL I'm fairly familiar with Nilsson, but I didn't remember that one. "Think About Your Troubles" is an old favorite of mine.... from "The Point".” 8:03:06 AM 2/19/04
