I want to learn HTMLView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 12 of 12 messages posted.
“I want to learn HTML. What's the best way to learn. Can I pick it up from books? If so, what books? Should I take a course?.... Workshop?? I don't want to be a webmaster or anything, just want to be able to get around and do a few things. My job would probably pay for some training since I do a lot of the review of data and supervise content for our Website. It frustrates me that I always have to wait for someone else to get around to making simple changes when I could probably be doing them myself faster. I've done a lot of stuff with Microsoft Front Page, but we got a new Web site and now content management is done through admin pages and back end html work.” 2:02:24 PM 12/04/03 “Basic HTML is so easy I think that paying for a course would be a waste of cash. There are several good books on HTML at any decent bookstore. But better yet just do a google search for "learn html" or "online HTML tutorial" and get the info off the web for free. Be sure you ask someone at your company to look over your shoulder a couple of times before you go changing anything by yourself. A couple of misplaced tags will really screw most applications and put you in the doghouse. Coders hate it when a non-coder fouls up the works. Always ask first. When in doubt, do nothing.” 2:26:53 PM 12/04/03 “testing” 2:41:12 PM 12/04/03 “testing” 2:41:34 PM 12/04/03 “testing” 2:41:34 PM 12/04/03 “cottonsocks.......is your testing complete?? ;-)” 2:46:15 PM 12/04/03 “Wow, three tests in a day! Did you study for all of them?” 2:49:32 PM 12/04/03 “The Complete Reference HTML Third Edition. I got this a couple of years ago and it is terific. They may have updated it by now - think I got it at Barnes and Noble. Osborne Publishing, Thomas A Powell, author. Enjoy” 5:08:55 PM 12/04/03 9:34:30 PM 12/04/03 I J “Years ago I taught myself how to do html by just reading some online html courses. I went to Yahoo! and looked thru the listings and clicked on a few links. Basic pages are so easy you can write then on notepad. That's how I do my website today.” 9:41:06 PM 12/04/03 “ testtesting”1:41:35 PM 12/26/03 “” 4:27:08 PM 11/14/06
