TT Feeling Sickly Thread

“I read some articles about long term problems with shingles, but I'm on medicine to help prevent that. I'm hoping my luck won't be that bad that this goes on for a year. I few weeks will be bad enough.”

“*cough cough hack* echh somebody gave me a cold over the weekend, either my dad or my brother - both were complaining about colds... thanks very much.”

“High fever here, got up to about 104 last night. Had to take a cool shower to bring it down. Just under 102 now still feel awful. Time for more Tylenol. Hope nobody gets what I have.”

I have a cold too. But I feel pretty decent. I've assaulted it from the first onset of symptoms with vitamin C, zinc and echinacea. Highly recommend when getting a cold. Symptoms not as severe and cold goes away faster.”

“I walked past a couple of homeless people the other day, and one of them had his finger up the other one's butt. I asked him what on earth he thought he was doing, and he said his friend didn't feel well, and he was trying to help him to throw up. I said to him, "That's not going to make him throw up!" His reply was, "It will when I put this finger down his throat". Go figure.”

My little problem with diverticulitis "flamed" up last Wednesday. I can't get Vioxx so I have to see my specialist. Without Insurance the visit will cost $300-500. She couldn't get me in before this coming Thursday. I've been able to control the pain by "decreasing" my consumption of food, poppin Ibuprofen. I've had to stop drinking alchol and coffee. I've lost about 6 pounds. I have to monitor my body temp, any thing above 100 indicates the inflammed area is infected and I have to get my ass to the ER ASAP.

All this could have been avoided by 1-2 Vioxx.

No, vioxx is not dangerous if taken on a limited term basis for pain/inflammation.

Have I said how much the FDA sucks?

“I took vioxx for only a short time 1-2 weeks and had chest pains. This was 2-2 1/2 years ago. I told the nurse who was a friend of mine and she said 'they're not chest pains'. I stopped taking them that very day.

I have been in bed since Wed night as soon as I got home from work and have not left it. i missed the campout this weekend.

“I had awful allergies for years until claritin came out ages ago. It was one of those "wonder drugs" and totally solved the problem. It was a life changing sort of thing. I buy the generic stuff now, of course, but it still works as well as when I first took it. Hope you feel better soon.”
