Just like Mario Lemieux (Very famous hockey player). Hope everything turns out ok.

I hope it's nothing serious and that the tests get to the bottom of whatever is causing it.

Hope everything works out for you Carlette.

Hey Boulder, I think I can top that. This year I had a sinus infection and the stomach flu. I think I got both from my daughter.

The past ten years I have never been sick other than a dry scratchy throat that would hang around for 2 or 3 days. In the past 10 years of work, I have taken 1 sick day and that was 3 weeks ago because of the stomach flu.

Sorry to hear about that. If it was something serious, they would have done the stress test or other testing right away. I recently had to wear one of those monitors due to heart palpitations. Turns out I have premature ventricular contractions. Sounds bad, but about half of the population has this condition - they just don't know about it because they don't have noticiable symptoms. No medication is necessary in my case.

Carlette, I hope it's nothing serious. I will be pulling for you.

WK - after those several years of being sick all the time, I practically don't know what to do now that I'm well all the time! At first, it was me catching stuff from BowlderSon. But then he stopped bringing stuff home - I was just catching everything, even giving stuff to him! My doc finally guessed that my minor allergies were just enough to compromise my immune system a bit, so suggested I take a claritin every day. It worked!

I had to give a seminar today. When I got home my throat was sore which is not all that unusual after speaking all day. Then I got a fever and aches. I feel like hammered krap now.

Take some aspirin. Go to bed and eat jalepenos. You'll feel better in the morning. :)

I almost called my daughter into school sick this morning so I could stay in my nice cosey bed. But it's her first crazy hair day and I didn't want to deprive her.

Coffee's doing wonders for my throat.

I have two proposals I have to get out the door today, so I can't afford to be sick. Working out of the home has its advantages and disadvantages. A big disadvantage is that you can't really "call in sick". You just keep on working...

the last thing I remeber was Sat night. I think I missed treebeards b-day. I did go to work yesturday only to turn right around and go home and back to bed. what a nasty mean horrible flu. I got over the flu by mid Tues when the fever broke but the stomach flu is still killing me. no real food since Sat afternoon. But tree made some good soup last night and it stayed down :) I am going to try and work today!

Xicam....nasal spray, etc....it is an OTC (over the counter) cold intervention med. My Fire Department swears by it. It may not stop the cold but it will use the zinc to boost your immune system.
Second echinacia and zinc tea....( know the spelling may be off) but it will help too.

Me too. I have had a TON of stress in my life lately as well as a death in my family. As a result, I was drained and fell victim to some sort of nasty virus. Along with all the other symptoms, I have this dry unproductive cough, and once I get going I can't stop and have no control over myself. The other day in the middle of a trial while the witness was in the middle of testifying, I jumped up and ran out of the courtroom as an attack hit me. The judge and attorneys were shocked. I've never done anything like that before and was absolutely mortified. After 15 minutes of coughing my brains out, I could come out of the bathroom again. Now I am so sore all through my chest and rib cage area. Feels like I got hit by a truck.

Sounds like what I'm starting to get over. It knocks me out early morning and through the evening, but most of the day I'm (barely) functional. The weirdest dang part was today. My sinuses hurt really, really bad. I had a lot of work to do, so I popped 2 ibuprofen AND drank a red bull. The ibuprofen hasn't worked all week, but the caffeine? Wow, It knocked the pain out fast. I was amazed.

I'm getting back to the living. I managed to complete my rope rescue course on Thurday. Got my helment, certification and stinking T-shirt. Next is first responder training and confined space rescue. Gotta love getting paid to rack up on fantastic training like this.

Okay, I'm in week 2 of this cold/flu/bronchitis from hell thing, where my knees, elbows, head and neck ache, and I can't control my temperature worth beans. It's in the mid 50s outside, and I was standing over this beautiful full burning hickory fire, shivering my a$$ off. I've got the heat turned up inside ( I usually prefer it cold) and I'm about to take a really warm bath as a last ditch effort to get warm. If I sleep on my back I stop breathing by the way, so sleep is on my side or propped up. The crazy part is I'm a lot better now than I was last week. Laurel got over this in only a week (she got to sleep it all off, about 18 hours a day) and I'm jealous!

Okay, my rant is over. I'll go cough up a lung now. Or at least a bunch of green stuff.

I sprained my right hand last weekend skiing. Major drag. I was teaching kids to ski and got into a log-jam on a tow-line. I was untangling a gordian knot of kids and skis when some snowboarders came up the tow line from behind and plowed into me. They knocked me over and I landed hard on my wrists. My right wrist was sore but really hurt the next day. A trip to the doctor showed the bones were fine but that I had a bad sprain. It's doing better now but I am in a splint. Hopefully it will be in fair shape for my hike in a few weeks.

I am so glad the season for skiing is almost over. I don't heal as quickly as I used to!

It’s just your run of the mill virus that makes ya feel like chit and makes you feel so run down just taking my pants off is a chore. Lyra, please help a brotha out…

I'm thinking a nice clean military ball will work but a Glaser safty slug would leave a better spatter pattern for the wife to clean up. LOL!

It was a very miserable 3 weeks, but I've been very grateful for my health since I got over all the crud. Laurel had it too, but 1) for only 1 week and 2) she slept through the whole thing. Lucky little girl there.
