I feel like crap. I had to miss last weekend's club backpacking trip in St. Mary's Wilderness. It suks to be me today.” 1:16:40 PM 5/31/06 “CD, out of curiosity have you heard how the trails were in St. Mary's Wilderness? last edited: 5/31/06 2:31:17 PM” 2:30:05 PM 5/31/06 “Nope, but I will find out for you and let you know.” 2:31:20 PM 5/31/06 “Had an interesting last night and today. I had intense pains in my chest with shortness of breath late last night. I figured I might be having a heart attack. It runs in my family. Drove myself to the ER where they checked me out, hooked me up to all kinds of heart monitors, gave me three nitroglycerin pills. They finaly figured I wasn't about to die right that moment and put me in a room about 3 AM. Did the various heart tests today and they decided it wasn't my heart so they sent me home late this afternoon. They still don't know what was causing my pain. I'm seeing my regular Doc in a couple of days and finding out.” 5:10:31 PM 8/07/06 “Zoiks!” 5:11:45 PM 8/07/06 “Good luck.” 5:16:51 PM 8/07/06 “At least I know my heart is in good shape! I passed the stress test! That backpacking 'hobby' came in useful. LOL” 5:19:04 PM 8/07/06 “Glad to hear it wasn't your heart, stovemeister!! Always wonder why they do a stress test after you think you've just had a heart attack. How many people do you suppose say, "I think I just had a heart attack! I don't need a frickin' test to tell you I'm a little stressed out!!"” 5:56:29 PM 8/07/06 “good news stovie... glad you are ok...” 6:20:02 PM 8/07/06 “Drove myself to the ER i dont mean to be your wife, but next time call an ambulance if you really think its a heart attack” 6:25:28 PM 8/07/06 “Yeah, I probably should have done that, C!B!. Wasn't thinking very well at the time. I need to get me a threadmill. Those things can give you a workout! I don't walk outside when the temps are 90+ all the time.” 6:38:35 PM 8/07/06 “Stovey!!!! Glad you're OK. When THAT happened to me (and I also drove myself to the hospital, egads, who can afford an ambulance ride! hahahah.. YES, I am aware of the other reasons to take an ambulance) ... when THAT happened to me, it was acid reflux type stuff. Maybe that's what you have. I recall they hooked the ole heart monitor up all the time I was saying, hey, it's heartburn/acid reflux. I was correct o mundo. Someone pay me puhleeease! Upon further reflection (and the EDIT button), is there some female lurking in the background? A little Viagra, perhaps??? LOL! I just saw the move "Somethings Gotta Give" again on TV. Tooooo funny when the dr. asked the Viagra question in front of all the women... with potential death in Jack Nicholson's drip if he's lying about not using it. And then he rips the drip out, after saying he wasn't using it. LOL! Men... phhhht!! (and with all that... be well...) last edited: 8/07/06 7:46:07 PM” 7:43:39 PM 8/07/06 “Geez Stovey! Glad you are okay! Did they do a nuclear stress test where the inject the dye and look at your arteries, or a treadmill test?” 7:48:34 PM 8/07/06 “Glad you're okay and relieved to hear you have a heart:)” 7:53:25 PM 8/07/06 “LOL I wish Viagra was involved. ;-) Be a nice way to go. I had the blood test, three nitroglycerin pills, and EKG in the ER last night. Today I had the nuclear test with a bit of nuclear material injected into my bloodstream with many many pictures taken. After that the threadmill stress test and another nuclear with more pictures after that. My heart is fine. I think my problem is acid reflux or something like that as lizs had. The symptoms are similar to those of a heart attack. Still, it hurts like a #%^#$%^$&$$!!!! LOL” 8:03:43 PM 8/07/06 “If you had any problems with your heart, the nuclear test would show them. The standard stress test doesn't always catch everything. I really am happy you are okay.” 8:15:34 PM 8/07/06 “Me too, creeky.” 7:43:35 PM 8/10/06 “wow, glad to hear it wasn't a heart attack Stovey! Hope everything goes okay for you - you have high blood pressure as well, don't you?” 11:54:03 AM 8/11/06 “Slighty high, just enough I should take a small dose of medicine for it every day.” 12:07:11 PM 8/11/06 “I hate summer colds :(” 7:35:20 AM 8/13/06 “This is my 7th day of the summer cold. Never had one until this year. They suck.” 5:26:02 AM 8/16/06 “Those rotten kids probably gave it to you. You will most likely be sicker than ever this winter, too, until you get immune to all the germs that come along with the slimey little critters. Feel better fast!” 7:43:07 AM 8/16/06 “WTF? I can't get rid of this out-of-body/sinus pressure feeling. It comes and goes. What could it be? Motrin doesn't seem to help. The Bloody Mary didn't help.........maybe another?” 7:38:15 PM 9/03/06 “allergies?” 7:45:12 PM 9/03/06 “i know of no allergies.....but it isn't uncommon for peeps to develop allergies in dc. that would suck. do blood mary's help allergies?” 7:50:33 PM 9/03/06 “101.7* Fever would suggest something else, no? #&%!$.” 8:15:49 PM 9/03/06 “it would suggest you need to take some asprine and go to bed!!!” 8:18:58 PM 9/03/06 “dude, seriously, get that feaver down!” 8:22:27 PM 9/03/06 “popped some tylenol. guess the bloody mary was not the right procedure, eh? ;)” 8:23:00 PM 9/03/06 “get some ice water and start chugging dude, and get a cold cloth for your head and GO TO BED.” 8:26:31 PM 9/03/06 “A fever with pressure in the sinus cavity has a good possibility of being an infection.” 8:33:03 PM 9/03/06 “ fever with pressure in the sinus cavity has a good possibility of being an infection.” RichB 9:33:03 PM 9/03/06 i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo hoping it's just an infection. My paranoia is on high alert. I've been popping acetaminophen since yesterday. My fever peaks every so often at @101.7. I had my PET on Thursday and symptoms started on Saturday. A little Nosocomial Nonesense, perhaps? Death by Hospital.” 11:08:31 PM 9/04/06 “went and saw a doc today. I think they're thinking along the lines of EBV or CMV. I've never been exposed...” 1:09:11 PM 9/12/06 “What are those?” 1:24:03 PM 9/12/06 “It's a cool way to say: Mono. :D Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) Cytomegalovirus (CMV) are the main causes of mono. Wonder who Dani's been kissin'? They're are some women in her office that are also sick. :D I have to go back on Thursday for test results. last edited: 9/12/06 1:39:50 PM” 1:39:11 PM 9/12/06 “bearmagnet. Take good care of that. That viruses can lead to other things down the road treat it aggressively.” 1:58:23 PM 9/12/06 “Mono is one of those fun things that can dormant for years, before becoming active. Look in the mirror, BM. ;D” 3:19:50 PM 9/12/06 “treeb has a point. ;-) Plus you have been weakened by all the chemicals all those Drs have put into you. Take care, bear.” 3:24:12 PM 9/12/06 “Yeah. CM. I'm really not looking for more "quality time at home" though. Gonna go bonkers soon. TB - I was tested for everything and anything just prior and after my big C diagnosis. EBV & CMV were among the first tests. I was clean then. I had somewhat of a charmed social life. In certain aspects, anyway. :p And I really don't want to look in the mirror at myself.” 3:29:31 PM 9/12/06 “At least it's not a STD. ;-)” 3:36:21 PM 9/12/06 Headphones “http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/media_player/play.jhtml?itemId=11919 last edited: 9/12/06 3:44:58 PM” 3:42:57 PM 9/12/06 “WK, that is one the funniest things I have seen!! Thanks a million.” 3:50:15 PM 9/12/06 “Thank Dave Chapelle” 4:01:30 PM 9/12/06 “LOL! I know that skit and I don't think I can watch it right now. Maybe when my stomachs a little stronger.” 4:05:06 PM 9/12/06 “LMAO. WK, you outdid yourself!” 5:02:28 PM 9/12/06 “Just got a voicemail. Tested positive for Mono. Crap. How long does this #&%!$ last? Can I get anything for it? Very dissapointed in my immune system.” 12:35:45 PM 9/13/06 “Months to years.” 12:37:44 PM 9/13/06 “Months to years. Yay. I am somewhat relieved. Does explain my mood lately. My energy levels. the fevers. headaches. I'm negative for Hodgkins. Yay! :D last edited: 9/13/06 12:47:12 PM” 12:46:37 PM 9/13/06 “ "Does explain my mood lately."Don't know about that, but it does explain some of your posts! LOL.” 1:23:17 PM 9/13/06 “Bear, years ago they gave Gamaglobulin (sp?) and some strong antibiotics....I was through it in High School in a couple of weeks.” 1:31:30 PM 9/13/06 Jump to Page << prev
