TT Feeling Sickly Thread

“I had the damn flu shot, but got the flu anyway. I feel like crap. I had to miss last weekend's club backpacking trip in St. Mary's Wilderness. It suks to be me today.”

“Had an interesting last night and today.

I had intense pains in my chest with shortness of breath late last night. I figured I might be having a heart attack. It runs in my family.

Drove myself to the ER where they checked me out, hooked me up to all kinds of heart monitors, gave me three nitroglycerin pills.
They finaly figured I wasn't about to die right that moment and put me in a room about 3 AM.

Did the various heart tests today and they decided it wasn't my heart so they sent me home late this afternoon.

They still don't know what was causing my pain. I'm seeing my regular Doc in a couple of days and finding out.”

Always wonder why they do a stress test after you think you've just had a heart attack. How many people do you suppose say, "I think I just had a heart attack! I don't need a frickin' test to tell you I'm a little stressed out!!"”

Glad you're OK. When THAT happened to me (and I also drove myself to the hospital, egads, who can afford an ambulance ride! hahahah.. YES, I am aware of the other reasons to take an ambulance)

... when THAT happened to me, it was acid reflux type stuff. Maybe that's what you have. I recall they hooked the ole heart monitor up all the time I was saying, hey, it's heartburn/acid reflux.

I was correct o mundo. Someone pay me puhleeease!

Upon further reflection (and the EDIT button), is there some female lurking in the background? A little Viagra, perhaps???









LOL! I just saw the move "Somethings Gotta Give" again on TV. Tooooo funny when the dr. asked the Viagra question in front of all the women... with potential death in Jack Nicholson's drip if he's lying about not using it. And then he rips the drip out, after saying he wasn't using it. LOL!

I had the blood test, three nitroglycerin pills, and EKG in the ER last night.
Today I had the nuclear test with a bit of nuclear material injected into my bloodstream with many many pictures taken. After that the threadmill stress test and another nuclear with more pictures after that.
My heart is fine.

I think my problem is acid reflux or something like that as lizs had. The symptoms are similar to those of a heart attack.
Still, it hurts like a #%^#$%^$&$$!!!!

i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo hoping it's just an infection. My paranoia is on high alert. I've been popping acetaminophen since yesterday. My fever peaks every so often at @101.7.

I had my PET on Thursday and symptoms started on Saturday. A little Nosocomial Nonesense, perhaps?

Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) Cytomegalovirus (CMV) are the main causes of mono.

Wonder who Dani's been kissin'? They're are some women in her office that are also sick. :D

TB - I was tested for everything and anything just prior and after my big C diagnosis. EBV & CMV were among the first tests. I was clean then. I had somewhat of a charmed social life. In certain aspects, anyway. :p
