TT Feeling Sickly Thread

“i still have this upper respiretory virus from hell. and now my left knee hurts so bad, i'm icing it. i finally went in to have my x-rays (knees & hips) done yesterday. i have to work today and i am not looking foward to that, i think i will bring my icepaks with me, and may ask for a stool to sit on. the diclofenac is not working very well and i'm thinking of asking for something stronger, but i want a patch so that i won't abuse any drugs she gives me.”

“the diclofenac is generic for voltaren, have you heard of it?”

“doctor is prescribing Celebrex now, i'll be picking it up after work. i'm icing my knees during breaks, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”

I took Voltaren once a While ago.... Doc gave me some samples for a temporary flare-up. I can't recall whether they did any good or not... I don't think they improved my memory any.

“too funny Tilt! i'm almost close to needing memory pills myself. ;O) the ice is great for the knees; can't ice the hips though. it'll be interesting to see what the x-ray says about things. i'm way to young for this crap.”

“WoW, have you read the info for this Celebrex stuff? Freaking scary!!! You gotta know how much pain I'm in, I'm going to take it anyway. I'm hitting the sack right now and taking my scary meds. If I bleed to death or have a heart attack or stroke, you'll know I wasn't in any pain when it happened, LOL!”

“When they said I had degenerative arthritus, they also prescribed Celebrex for me..I took two...they made my tummy hurt terribly...I used Ibu...sorry about the pain!!!.....I know it hurts....somedays I can barely move....but I have to....and once going, I feel better.....I find that lots of water and stretching helps alot....”

“the doctor gave me lots of protonix samples for my tummy. apparenty though the celebrex is going to take some time to build up in my system, it's a bad knees day today. i'm icing right now on my break. i think i will ask for the stool to sit on.”

“Apparently cashiers at work have this perch that they can slide out and rest their butts on, but I haven't seen anyone actually using it. It's probably some ADA or OSHA requirement.”

“i found a stool on clearance at another Office Depot. I paid $28 for a stool that originally cost $274. i sharpied my name on the back of it and left it in the break room. i'll be using it tomorrow and any other day my knees are this bad.”

“i might just do that Tilt, LOL! i'm just making sure that no one sells it accidentally. yeah, can you believe it, $274? it's a nice drafting stool, but really! the one i had before was nicer, had a longer seat, but this will do.

“I got a call from the hospital ER yesterday afternoon. My father in law was admitted to the ER with an "aortic aneurysm". Now that just sounds bad and as it turns it in fact is really bad. So he went through 6 hours of surgery and is recovering in the ICU now. It really makes you stop and think about how fragile life really is and how lucky we are every day to get just one day more. Talk about "out of the blue".

My doc is making me stay out of work untill next week.

All I went in for is a stupid cough and a stupid ear ache that I've had for a week. I didnt even want to go to the doc but mike made me >:| and now I cant go to work. what ever will I do for a week????”

“FYI...my back was killing me due to the Siatic nerve for two weeks....last Wednesday I switched from the Scrip stuff to Goody's Powders....then Friday we had a bunch of Lightning strike fires so I was in full gear and an airpack....Sunday, we had a hotel call...so full gear airpack and 4 flights of stairs (twice)....back is doing great today!!!!”

“I concur, Honeybunches. The sinuses are killing me today too. It feels like the hinges of my jaws are being pinched, and my ears are clogged. Time to eat some really spicy food and clear all that stuff out.”

“SPICY food...hey tree did you ever hear of powdered wasabi? I have doctor who takes just a touch and puts it on a q-tip and puts the powder on the inside of your nasal passages...HOLY CRAP...talk about clearing the sinuses.”

“I went to the chiropractor this morning and my sinuses instantly drained after he adjusted my neck! My throat still hurts after all the drainage, but at least I can breathe :)”

“Just got out of the hospital this morning!I got up Sunday morning with a terrible pain in my left side and not knowing which side the appendix is on, I thought I had appedicitis but a catscan showed a perferated colon and I was about to piss my pants thinkin that I was going to end up with a freakin bag on my side.Then after about an hour the sugeon showed up and said that he could put me in the hospital for a few days and treat me with antibiotics.Thank God it's working and I got to come home this morning although I will be out of work for another week.”
