“Just got out of the hospital this morning!I got up Sunday morning with a terrible pain in my left side and not knowing which side the appendix is on, I thought I had appedicitis but a catscan showed a perferated colon and I was about to piss my pants thinkin that I was going to end up with a freakin bag on my side.

“Thanks HB. I will be at the game. I took Tylenol Allergy Night Time last night and it seemed to help. I'm a bit stuffy today but it will pass. I just hate being sick!!!

“I feel like #&%!$. Some woman was coughing her guts up on the train this morning. I so hate this. Not covering your mouth, spewing your germs all over because you don't have any sick time left or whatever your excuse is.

If I come to work like this, I drive in.”

“There's a cold going on around here, too. We have it, several of my neighbors have it, a bunch of the kids Laurel goes to school with are all coughing and sneezing. As far as colds go it's not horrendous, but I'd love to sleep the rest of the day away.”

“I've definitely got a cold. A couple of lymph nodes are swelling up in my neck. I don't feel too bad though, just tired, with itchy ears.”

“I have a 102 fever last night and felt like crap! The dog pissed all over our bed (she has bladder cancer and cannot control it)

I stripped the bed and slept on top in my 45 degree SD bag.

Feel almost new this morning.”

I'm chugging echinacea and ginseng tea. It has lots of other herbs in it too, in a failed attempt to make it taste better.”

“I'm all for conserving water, but sometimes a long very hot shower feels so good, like when you know a cold is starting to settle into your lungs. Next time I'll bring a little dish of vaporub in there with me and set it on a shelf. Those "shower soother" things were disgusting.”

“I think the total frustrations of yesterday set me back. No relaxation whatsoever there. I was really looking forward to a little hike with Laurel, and then lunch at the Wild Plum tearoom (to die for stuff!) not sitting in Cherokee for several hours watching traffic go by.”

Hey, there is a tearoom in Biltmore Village you should come visit called Chealses!! The pasta salad alone is worth the trip...not to mention the desserts!”
