TT Feeling Sickly Thread

“You had a fever that made you feel cold, LMG. Lose some of the layers and you'll feel better. That is something I've learned the hard way. You feel very cold, shivering, but its actually a fever.”

Me too... head cold started on Tue night again. I haven't been this sick in one year in a long time.

Nose has run from Colorado to Ohio and back to Colorado again..... Stoopid thing won't stop.”

“Laurel and i finally got over our 2.5 month long string of colds/ sinus infections, and she started coughing again a little while ago. It stopped as soon as she started drinking some tea, so I'm attributing this to vigorously running around outdoors and then running around inside a desert-dry house with the heat on.

I hope all you peeps get healthy soon.”

“damn it, Laurel and I are both getting sick again. Laurel's very sleepy and kind of cranky, and I feel arthritic all over. Yes, we're taking more zinc and vitamin C.”

“I made it through the whole winter surrounded by sick people without getting sick and then yesterday I started with a dry, tight cough and headache. Today I'm feverish and feel like shyt. I had over 400 straight days without calling off at my job but I don't think I'm making it in tomorrow.”

“i climbed into my truck yesterday after work and my first thought was, "where'd that sore throat suddenly come from?!!". two hours later i had a low grade fever and by 9:30 i had puss on my tonsils. i went to work anyway this afternoon. but i feel like crap. i'm doing the chicken noodle soup, orange juice thing, and eating hot carrots; i can't bring myself to eat the jalapenos though. i napped for five hours. i'm sucking on Cold Ease zinc losenges.

i have a whole week off of work, but i want to do a short backpack with this time.

“I feel for you pammie. This thing is horrible. I slept cuddled with my kleenex box last night. I had to call in sick to work today. And now mountainrunner woke up at 5 am throwing up. It just gets better and better!”

“Been sitting up for an hour waiting for the Tagamet to kick in. I think I can lay back down now without stomach acid bubbling up in my mouth. At least I hope so.

I've been in bed since about 8:30 last night, after purging. I've got a fever that spikes quickly then goes away for a time, and very painful joints. Argh. It was just out of the blue. I finally crawled out of bed at 12:15 this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to going to pick up Laurel from school this afternoon. I'll have to bake in the sun for a while.”

i also take 1000mg of ester C 2x a day.

and 15mg zinc 2x day

plus a multivitamin/mineral

when i wheeze, i make a special tea with several herbs + lemon, glycerin and honey for my throat.

“Still sick, still purging, at the end of day 3. I feel slightly better, then of course I try to go do some little chore around here and blammo I get very sick again. This sucks. At least I didn't spend all day asleep this time, but I don't think I'd have minded doing just that. I can eat, but hoo boy does it hurt.”

“Guts still going, and my parents have it as well. Just the 3 of us went out for dinner one evening when we were in Florida for Laurel's spring break. I'll bet money that some SOB working there was sick, or just got over it, and wasn't washing their hands well enough. Pepto is my friend.”

“My large intestine hates me. Time to go get lots of different yogurt cultures. I think my parents have it worse than me, too. Yikes. I did have a sleepless night last night, I attribute that to having 2 diet cokes at dinner (made the mistake of going out) and I haven't had caffeine since Thursday morning.”

“Treebait, by any chance, did you eat pork at the restaurant?”

“I had it 2 weeks ago. I lost a total of 10 lbs. I feel for ya. Get well soon.”

“No pork. Seafood. The place has a very high safety/ cleanliness rating, too. I think it's something from an employee. I am down 6 lbs. so far, though.

I picked up yogurt, kefir, and every variety of dairy based bacterioculture I could find (except sour cream) at the grocery earlier today.”

Stupid strep throat. And the damn doc had to fargin give me a lecture that it won't get better without meds so I guess I'm stuck takin' em. This is why I hate going to the doctor. They always find something wrong >:( Now I have a couple days off work and I can't even go for a bike ride cause I feel like crap.

“Another bad night last night. I jsut layed there trying my best to sleep untill about 5 am when I was finially able to get a little shut eye. This freakin' sucks.

“Spirit, that's about when I fell asleep and got 2.5 hours of sleep. Woke up and got a sour stomach too, but it's feeling better now. It's just drug toxicity stuff with me.
