I'd only spoken to her a couple times and she went on the Michigan trip and ended up riding in my car. For part of the trip she was the only rider as people bounced from car to car so we got to talk about some deep things. Turns out that she's a "hardcore" backpacker...80lbs pack, 20-25 mile days....M16...She loves the outdoors but can't afford backpacking equipment as all of her money goes to putting herself through nursing school. She was amazed at some of the lightweight equipment and techniques I told her about. So not only is she intelligent but is good looking too--tall, blonde, very fit, attractive. I'm going to get her to come on a "civilian" backpacking trip and let her borrow some of my nice lightweight gear...then once she's had a taste of TT I'll get her on the board.
