Have a good trip Scorch! When ya leaving?” 11:36:19 PM 1/22/04 “Cool! I wish I could go with you guys, instead I will be skiing with the snow bunnies ;-) Do you ski?” 11:36:45 PM 1/22/04 “me no ski, grew up in the south where snow of more than 1/2 inch shut us all down for a few days.” 11:37:17 PM 1/22/04 “hey, i want to go hiking, let me go please... i should go camp out tonight, hmmm who wants to go camp on the lake tonight with me??” 11:38:12 PM 1/22/04 “i had a skiing weekend last weekend... no wait, that was NYC, the weekend before was the ski weekend. roam, leaving my house tomorrow around 6:30pm. good luck with your move! i'm gonna head to bed as well in a few minutes. nite everyone :) see yas when i get back” 11:38:15 PM 1/22/04 Billionare Toys “I'm watching a show on the Travel Channel called "Billionaire Toys." They just showed a $350,000 RV that had a 40 inch TV with surround sound, a king size bed, a fire place, a TV system that slides outside with a 36 inch TV..so you can watch it outside! and to beat it all a garage in the back. You can fit a small car INSIDE this thing.” 11:38:37 PM 1/22/04 “i would, sime, but u kinda live far away” 11:39:19 PM 1/22/04 “Cool, I didn't know you skied Scorch. On your SB if you want to go to WV for some skiing let me know.” 11:39:39 PM 1/22/04 “now that's what you call backpacking” 11:39:41 PM 1/22/04 Skiing Bad “Skiing + lumberzac = broken bones” 11:40:05 PM 1/22/04 “That RV was nicer than my house, no joke.” 11:40:16 PM 1/22/04 “its gonna be COLD on the beach girl. big winds. carry some walmart bags.” 11:40:49 PM 1/22/04 “Is this like the absolute longest thread in the history of the universe?” 11:41:13 PM 1/22/04 “allright, I'm out. Later yall.” 11:41:32 PM 1/22/04 “No, there are a few over 3,000 posts but we'll beat it before long.” 11:41:42 PM 1/22/04 “ah, come on, you can make it for the night :P it'll be cool, the ice will be cracking in the cold, it's only supposed to get down to -20 tonight” 11:41:46 PM 1/22/04 “It's 14F here right now, supposed to get down to 6F, feels like 2F right now according to the weather.com” 11:43:29 PM 1/22/04 “it was like -28 last night, brrr... my snowmobile was stiff in the morning, i was 10 minutes late for class because my snowmobile was having troubles” 11:44:38 PM 1/22/04 “Let's make it to 3000. Hell I'll be up for a while. I still have about 5 more pages on this 255 form.” 11:45:19 PM 1/22/04 “i'm not gonna be up that late, i think it's past my bed time” 11:46:23 PM 1/22/04 “I know it's past mine. I've have to be up at 5:45, but I have to get this sh*t done.” 11:47:39 PM 1/22/04 “that's too damn early, all i know is i have to be to class by 11, and my snowmobile better run better tomorrow.” 11:50:43 PM 1/22/04 “I'll be around, doubt we'll get to 3,000 though. Watching a TV thing on the Saleen 7...one badass car.” 11:51:01 PM 1/22/04 “I don't even have cable TV, I rarely watch DVD's, and on the weekends i go to the hotel lobby to watch football” 11:52:40 PM 1/22/04 “LOL, interesting life there simer...ride a snowmobile to school, watch tv in a hotel lobby. Now they are showing the worlds most expensive grill..$72,000” 11:55:17 PM 1/22/04 “nah, i've heard of more expensive girls than that” 11:56:04 PM 1/22/04 “but hey, it's my life... i wouldnt' want it any other way, i just gotta find myself a decent woman... you'd think they'd come that way up here on the edge of the bwca, ya know... but the 4 girls that actually attend this school are either sluts, stupid dogs, ohhh boy that's gonna get me introuble some day... i'm gonna shut up now” 11:58:10 PM 1/22/04 “Well simer, take my advice...keep away from the sluts and stupid dogs (unless you just plan on using one then be careful) and the high maintenance ones aren't much better. Where do you go that there are only 4 girls? That sucks since a big part of college is women. I think you need to transfer somewhere like OSU that has 25,000 women our age, half of which are extremely hot.” 12:00:29 AM 1/23/04 “simer, Just remember that. If you ever go to grad school, pick one with a high female to male ratio.” 12:01:04 AM 1/23/04 “OU (ohio university) has a superior female to male ratio. I think it's 2-3 girls per 1 guy.” 12:01:54 AM 1/23/04 “yeah, i know... that was my biggest regret on choosing this school... you know, the outdoor canoe country college, on the edge of the wilderness. I decided to go to school because someone told me there was chicks there, so i go to this college where guys outnumber girls 25-1 or something like that... i didn't even know what i was going to school for until i got here, i basically closed my eyes and pointed and said yeah, i'll take that.” 12:02:51 AM 1/23/04 “Sound like the place for me. Got and address? I smell road trip.” 12:04:50 AM 1/23/04 “and = an” 12:06:01 AM 1/23/04 “yeah sure, come on out and visit, maybe i'll set up a TT trip sometime if anybody's interested in comin out to ely, a winter BWCA trip doesn't require any special permits other than self registration” 12:07:28 AM 1/23/04 “lol, sounds like what happened to me. That's how i picked my degree as well, lol. The best women I've dated are the girls in between hot and average who have to work a job to get through school, are far from feminists and being prissy. They understand the value of a dollar and appreciate it when you bring them things (which high maint. chicks kinda throw away). They are kind enough to pick up your room and cook you dinner so long as you are nice to them. And they can look really hot if they want too but not to the point where they always look hot which causes them to flirt with every guy they meet because they know they can have him. Also, the ones that are your friends first make much better girlfriends. This is what Dub has learned about women in his short life.” 12:08:19 AM 1/23/04 “I learned a lot about girls in my life... enough to know not to trust them.” 12:09:59 AM 1/23/04 “hehe, like i said before: the only woman you can trust is the one your daddy can't.” 12:10:39 AM 1/23/04 “can't sleep Dub is learning very fast. Simer - you gotta get out more. but sounds like you live in a cool place, just bad for dating. which might really be a good thing at times.” 12:12:09 AM 1/23/04 “and never make a girl the highest priority in your life, do what you want to do first, and let a girl some second... or third... or somewhere in there, women can't be that important can they?” 12:13:16 AM 1/23/04 “You can always find women in other places. How close are you to a big city? You can find them in bars, clubs, coffee shops, grocery stores, churches, and bookstores. Sounds like you're in a place where snow is in abundence...you should be able to find some snow bunnies on the slopes. Go skiing and offer to take one on a snowmobile ride.” 12:14:06 AM 1/23/04 “Simer, you've almost got the idea. Your life and family should come first in your life, then your woman somewhere after that. However, make her think she comes first and things will be much better.” 12:15:13 AM 1/23/04 “Nice to see you back Roam.” 12:15:28 AM 1/23/04 “The key is finding one that likes to do what you like to do, but not all of the time. Alone time is important.” 12:15:47 AM 1/23/04 “err... this town is the school, i suppose i could go hang out at the high school... eh, nearest "city" is probably 10,000 people, 50 miles away, and without a car... Duluth is about 2 hrs away, that'd probably be the place to find chicks... if i had a car” 12:16:06 AM 1/23/04 “When I lived in WV we'd make trips to other cities an hour or two away for nights out on the town. You've probably got a friend with a car, find him and talk him into going chick hunting in the next town every other weekend. Lumberzac is right, gotta find one with common interests. Opposites to attract but I find those relationships suck.” 12:18:30 AM 1/23/04 “yeah, i'm leaning towards common interests... as soon as i can drag a girl along on a backpacking trip at -20, and she enjoys it, then i know I have a keeper” 12:20:23 AM 1/23/04 “If you find one. Let me know if she has a sister.” 12:22:04 AM 1/23/04 “You'll make a mistake if "drag" a girl on a backpacking trip and when she says she likes it you keep her. Women will often like what you like until you've dated for awhile, or as my buddies say, for the first year of your marriage. Then they say, "that was your thing, i'm not interested in it anymore. I want to do my thing." Find a chick that's already into backpacking in -20. Don't ever drag one into it.” 12:22:21 AM 1/23/04 Jump to Page << prev
