Finally spent my REI dividend

“If I hadn't received an e-mail reminder from REI, I would have forgotten about my measly $11 dividend -- as I have done in some years. Nice to get reminded. Covered the shipping and tax and a little more on a waterproof duffle I can use for sailing.

Anyone else still holding onto their dividend until the final gear buying spree of the year?”

I'm already ciphering up what my divident will be and making my list for next year! Just kidding, but only sort of.”

“I let my wife use my dividend on my birthday present, a pair of Grivel G10 classic crampons. I really miss not having an REI close by. Well, at least I now have an EMS store near me.”

“There is no REI around here so I have been slow to join. I finally visited a store in Atlanta (trip report) and became a member. Considering the credit card too - 1% on all non-rei purchases.

Naww that will just feed my covetousness...”

“I used mine in June on a pair of Merrell's. If I remember right, I got like 30 bucks off the shoes that were originally $110.”
