I want to hike with a group of people anywhere where there are an abundance of black bear. Just so I can get over the fear of them. After that, I would like to be put in the middle of Grizz country so I can do the same there.

Wolfeyecicles, try Marcy Dam in the Adirondacks. You can sit there and watch as the bears rip down everyones bear bag.

Napali Coast
I'd like to backpack along the Napali coast on Kauai with some fins and a hawaian sling for a couple of weeks (or months depending on how good I am with that spear and gathering edible plants)

Mistletoe...I know of guides and such who actually do guided tours. Let me see if I can find some info for you.

ok Mistletoe, I think these sites will get you everything you need to know.
First one-http://www.paddletrips.net/
This one seems really good. Show different trips you can take plus a message board if you have questions.

Second one- http://www.mita.org/
This one is good for getting info for camping on the islands and such.

Hope this works out for you. Let me know if you need anything else.

I know it's not possible, but "fantasy" is the operative word.

I would love to do a section or two of the AT back when the Appalacians were scattered with 30,000 footers. That was during the yadayadazoic period...

"Fourteeners" my eye!

anywhere...
where I haven;t already been, and back to a few that I have been. I dream of places and then go there, then dream of other places and make plans to go there.

Right now...I'd like to do that Corsica hike that is featured in Backpacker...now that would ROCK!!!

Yeah...thats the first time I've heard that Australia was part of Asia.....wouldn't it be Oceania or South Pacific? Does the Australian Outback have peaks? I thought it was just desert except for Ayer's Rock sticking up in the middle of nowhere.
