What the hell are we doing???
I figured all you Bush bashers would be all over this one.

Since the occupation of Iraq has become a debacle and, after asking all the countries who didn't want us to go to war in the first place to please help the US restore the country because we finally figured out that we can't go it alone, we then turn around and tell the same people that, since they didn't support us to begin with, well, sorry folks, but we're not going to let you in on the reconstruction contracts. Has the Administration gone totally friggin' nuts???

C'mon, I know that some of you guys are bustin' a gut to slap ol' Dubya around on this one. Let it fly...

Hell no I don't wanna slap him. The rebuilding will be done with OUR dollars. We may as well suport American companies with the cash.

It is tempting for those of us that are convinced as to what a horrendous leader Bush has been. But, in the course of many political threads, I think I took a lot of slaps at him and outlined the reasons that I thought this 'go it alone' stance was a risky one. Hope the supporters are happy with how our money is being spent. I sure as hell am not!

It's not just Americn companies, and the money is SUPPOSED to come, eventually from Iraqi oil sales.

BTW, This information was released as Bush was on the phone trying to convince France and Germany to excuse Iraqi debt.

Does it really effect you on the personal level? Enough that you folks are gonna have to change your life style and spending habits?

True Briar. I doubt many even really care other than having a new bone of contention to jaw on about.

Uhh, so are you trying to say that we should not care about things that don't affect us drastically and personally?

If you feel this way, then, under no circumstances, should you complain about the way your tax dollars are spent...

Good point Pheady...
It's always said to be a "Global Economy" so it should also be "Global Affairs"
Personally I do care and would love to see world peace! But these folks in the middle east are phucking WACKO's, so that makes me wanna say "I don't give a sh-t"...
I wish we would just let them all be alone and be done with it...
I hate reading and hearing about our guys dying everyday....Sorry if that offended anyone....just my feelings at this point...just frustrated...The unfortunate thing is those Wacko's brought their insanity to our front door on 9/11.... so we had to kick some a$$.... I know there is a ton of other issues. IE Oil, politics...bla bla bla...
I get overwelmed with all the political CRAP and just think about my fellow americans first and foremost, Bring 'em all home and then nuke the phuckers if they screw with us again!!!

No. Not in the least. I just think many times the hate of Bush outweighs the actual concern of the issue at hand. And this is not to say ALL are like this.
