I thought that was a requirement of all politicians.

I would have booed her big time but throwing shlt is just stupid. Then again, they were throwing drinks so that might tell ya something. Sometimes, now follow me here, when people pay to see someone sing they actually want the singer to sing and not spout their political bull chit. Call me crazy!

Regardless of politics, who in thier right mind would pay good money to see Linda Rohndstat?

It' scary!

I'm surprised you guys haven't mentioned Linda's old date... California's Governor Jerry "Moon Beam" Brown!

Actually, I used to think she had a good voice back in the "Stone Ponies" days, but politically, she & I travel to the beat of a different drum.

"You and I
travel to the beat of a different drum.
Oh, can't you tell by the way I run,
Every time you make eyes at me?

Whoa-oh
You cry and moan and say
"It'll work out",
But honey-child,
I have got my doubts.
You can't see the forest for the trees.

Oh, don't get me wrong.
It's not that I'm knocking it.
It's just that I'm
not in the market
For any person, place or thing
To try and pull the reigns in on me.

So-oh
Goodbye.
I believe that I see no sense
In this crying a grievin'.
We'll both live a lot longer
If you live without me.

I remember it by heart. A girl that I was in love with me gave me the 45 as a way to say "Get lost". What a cruel song.

what a positive outlook to have....

democrats want bigger government so they can rule and control the idiots who vote them in, and they're willing to sacrifice all honsety and integrity to gain that power

For Sure, Violin.

The Congress can pass all the regulations they like, but if there's no money appropriated for enforcement, it's just a sham. It's a classic move that dead sucker Reagan used to pull all the time back in the 80s, <G>

It really is a choice on who should make your life choices and who decides how to spend your money.

Is the average person too stupid to make their own life choices?

Some think so. They think that smarter people (Them) will make better choices for everyone, so we should pool money and they will make the wise choices that are better for everyone.

Actually not a bad concept, and certainly much better for the segment of the population well below average intelligence.
The problem is the economic concept of unlimited wants and limited means.
The money pool is not enough to get everyone, everything they need.

So now we start to move from democracy to communism "pay according to you means, take according to your needs".
Enter progressive taxation, OK, the rich pay more, the very poor pay none.

The difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is where that progression starts and stops, and the definition of basic needs.

A bigger pool of money provides economy of scale and has the potential to provide benefits cheaper than each individual, but a bigger pool of money is also a ripe environment for corruption and waste.

A ponsi scheme is illegal, unless the government does it and calls it social security.

"Back in 2000 a Republican friend warned me that if I
voted for Al Gore and he won, the stock market would
tank, we'd lose millions of jobs, and our military
would be totally overstretched. You know what? I did
vote for Gore, he did win, and I'll be damned if all
those things didn't come true!"

"It's worth remembering that the dislike and distrust the world
now feels toward American didn't just happen. It was the
result of a concerted effort by this (Bush) administration to
piss off everyone in the world on just about every issue.
Heck, if George Bush could build coalitions half as well as
he burns bridges, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with."
