Hey Maple, hope ya enjoy the "walk" book. I believe I've read all his books and I enjoyed them. His latest was about going up to Alaska and living there.

Happy reading!

Fixing Your Feet by Dr John VonHoff. An excellent book on blister prevention and general foot care.

Half.com
I just read this entire thread and added a ton of books to my wish list at Half.com.

Maple, and everyone else, you should buy and sell your books on eBay's Half.com. Most novels I buy cost $0.75. Add about $2.79 for shipping and you get new or lightly used books for about $3.50, most of which are $7.99-11.99+ normal cost. Shipping prices are set by half.com based on the price of the book. So you get books way cheaper than from Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.

Suggestions
The Half.com links take you to the book page at half.com

I really really enjoyed this book. It was the book that got me hooked on Dean Koontz.

Dark Rivers of the Heart by Dean Koontz: Dean Koontz's latest suspense novel involves a woman and a man, each alone, each with secrets. They meet once in a bar, and suddenly they're being pursued by a frighteningly powerful agency with access to the government's information, weapons systems, and surveillance. The man who chases them does so with robotic, banal efficiency, but his prey is different from any he's encountered before--bold, tenacious, and determined not to succumb

Cost: $.75 at Half.com

If you like Dark Rivers of the Heart then you will probably like Icebound also by Dean Koontz. A team of scientists looking for new sources of water get stranded on an icecap between Greenland and Norway. Their fight for survival breeds startling displays of personality and perseverance

Cost $.75 at Half.com

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton is a very good read. If you liked the movie the book is better. If you didn't see the movie you're missing out.

With extremely well-preserved bits of DNA from dinosaurs, a scientist plans to create a theme park of cloned dinosaurs. When the island that houses the theme park suffers a power outage, the dinosaurs run rampant, and the humans must run for their lives

Cost $.50 at Half.com

Jurassic Park: The Lost World wasn't written by Crichton, but I still enjoyed it.

$1.75 at Half.com

The book Congo by Michael Crichton was 100 times better than the movie.

No shirt, no shoes, no problem by Jeff Foxworthy was absoultely hillarious. He bases most of his redneck jokes on his life. The story is about him growing up and it will have you laughing so hard you'll scare people on the train.

TT Book Club
Earlier in this thread someone mentioned a TT Book Club. I searched for the thread on it and couldn't find it. If it's still around we should revive it. I'd gladly loan my books out (they just sit on the shelf anyway) to you guys. Media mail is cheap and all you have to do is wrap books with brown paper bags from the grocery store, add a little tape, add $1 or less of postage and voila! Books!

Anyone have A Brief History of Time, Illustrated? It's been on my wish list for awhile. I think it cost $35 new, about $20 on Half.com...not enough of them out there yet to lower the price.
