Hiya all! Everyone still losing weight? I'm not even gonna bother trying to read all 900 messages posted since I've been here.

Hope everyone is well. I gotta check the trip board, see if I cant get out there and hike again.

I totally missed my goal - to lose 20 lbs by my birthday. I still haven't changed the way I eat, but I have increased my exercise quite a bit. I can tell there is more muscle on my body, but not a whole lot less fat! Just need to keep up my exercise level, and eventually it'll start burning that fat away!

DATELINE: January 2005
Pathman today surpassed his goal for the year aned weighed in at a whoping 85 pounds! He was photogralhed for the local press, but was asked to not stand sideways because the camera could no longer pick up his image unless he was standing facing it!

lol Its sad when you can no longer be seen in profile. Fortunately for me, I can still be viewed from ALL angles. I've gained a few pounds from my lowest weight (up to 235 from a low of 220), but I feel fantastic. Guess its too much to hope for that the extra 15 is all muscle gain, since I just been doing my normal pushups and crunches. Oh well, I'll just let my body figure out what weight I should be.

Hey Treebeard, hope you guys all enjoyed the Ithaca trip. Sorry I couldn't make it, was busy with my friend's wedding all weekend. Maybe next year.

You were missed, Chips. I had a feeling that you wouldn't be able to get away. Substituting the cardboard cut-outof yourself would probably not have worked!

I kinda think, in a way, that my body has found it's happy weight. I've been exercising regularly for the past 3 months, and haven't lost a pound. I've been at this weight for about two years, so I'm not gaining either. What's up with that?

I'm back counting WW points
Only been 2 weeks, and I've lost 1 pound. I'm giving it some time though.

SG, the question really is are you losing fat and gaining muscle with your program, even if your total weight stays the same. Those formulas can track that for you.

Pathman, you need to relax.

Have a beer, a pastrami sandwich, and a schvitz. You'll feel much better.

CRAP! I am still trying to gain the weight I lost in June back.

Beginning of June weight = 145
End of June weight = 126

NOW = 137

June was my companies fiscal year end. Very stressful!!

Stress = no eating

Ithaca helped with all the alcohol I drank.

WK - I have no sympathy for peeps with less the 5% body fat!

But the questions begs to be answered;
Just how much weight can you lose after a good schvitz?

Got back from the first 150 miles of my Superior Hiking trail adventure a few days ago. Going to my first ever class reunion this coming Saturday. I lost another 10 pounds somewhere on the trail and now weigh in at 165. I'd like to be 160 or 155, but if this is where I stay, I am literally and figuratively a happy camper. Anyway, I think I have the solution to everyone's weight problem.

Late one night while tucked snugly in my sleeping bag, fire out, bear bag hung, I got the munchies. All I wanted was one G.D. energy bar, but all the food was hanging in a tree and I wasn't about to go prowling around and go to all the trouble of getting out of the bag, stumbling to the tree, lowering the bag, rummaging through all the food, raising the bag, etc. just to get some food. I started to laugh out loud (or was it LMFAO ?) when I realized all I needed at home was to hang a bear bag after 6:00 pm everynight and my snacking problems would be at an end. I find myself wondering what size bag would it take to handle the contents of a refrigerator and 2 cupboards? Although not sure, I do believe I'm on the right track. I think I'll ask Bitpusher...if he's gotten any smarter.

Actually, the cardboard cut-out probably would've had more personality, and, strangly enough, been less flamaable. Speaking of flames, if I pursue a career in politics, can I count on you not to go to Time Magazine with the story?

Hey, I was just in NYC last week. I really wanted to give you and mapleleaf a call, but figured y'all would be busy with work and stuff. (I cant relate). I'll be back in the fall tho...I owe you guys a whole lot of alcohol. Looking forward to seeing y'all again.

I think Pathman made an association with himself getting thinner and the cardboard cut-out! I didn't make the connection before, but it makes sense. Actually, that was an inside joke that referred to the Ithaca trip. He wanted to go, but was in the wedding party of his good friend that weekend. So, I told him to come and substitute a cardboard cut-out of himself at the wedding. That's funny, dude!

so treebait, i'm curious about Trimspa. do you still feel the same, other than that you're not as hungry? like, do you still have energy to exercise and stuff?
lyra

It hasn't affected my energy level at all. I wish it would, just a little. It's squashed my appetite, which is what I was after. Seems to be good for the intestines, too. ;) All that additional fiber! I do generally feel better these days. I guess I do have a little more energy to chase the two year old, since she's already poured 6 oz. of milk down the staircase where it dribbled down between the wooden slats and left chocolate smears all over HPM's side of the bed (great it looks like poo.) She found the snack size snickers and opened up several of them. Great.

thought I would bring this thread back up. I went to the gym last night. I didn't realize it had been 2 months since the last time I was there. I also weighed for the first time in 2 months...not good.
Time to get back at it again.
