Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not too fond of Bush either but give me a break. Start pointing that finger at your own community rather than blaming the feds for all of life’s woes. Why is it everyone screams from the roof tops they want the government out of their lives but when the bucks don’t come in they act like a victim?” 10:52:16 PM 3/02/04 “Maybe it's because the very people who promise to get government off your back are the first people to tell you you can't do that in your bedroom. Just a slightly different take on the question.” 11:03:45 PM 3/02/04 “I am a of victim of too many books and not enough drugs. That can only be blamed on the government.” 11:08:02 PM 3/02/04 “"Just a slightly different take on the question." No, that's a diffent question all together.” 11:12:23 PM 3/02/04 “you know, when cars were invented, lots of buggywhip makers went out of business. it was tragic, and the government didn't have anything to do with it, and they did nothing to stop it. it wasn't the president's fault either. the job market is constantly evolving because of new technologies, inventions, trends, new services, terrorist attacks. you name it, the list goes on and on jihad bush” 1:36:45 AM 3/03/04 strat and nigal “could you please translate your above posts in spanish and indian? They, along with rich folks in this country, are the only ones benefiting from Bush, and I'm sure they'd love to hear your take on things. Thanks, Middle Class Guy [Limited Edition]” 4:37:40 AM 3/03/04 Basturds! “Just as long as those Republicans don't lose their job, their policies, in their eyes, are A OK.” 4:48:52 AM 3/03/04 “Exposing a breast is indecent, but I guess lying is decent, and acceptable.” 5:07:43 AM 3/03/04 “Dear George, Thanks to your policies I have a great new job, as do four of my friends. Also I have two friends who own their own companies who are both now thriving, since you have taken away many of the restrictions they worked under during the Clinton administration. They and there 100 + employees also thank you. Thanks, Bison” 6:12:46 AM 3/03/04 “Poor Buddha, I feel for ya man. Life is just too darn hard. It just ain’t fair! Now it’s the rich guy’s fault too? You’re shaping up to be a loyal little liberal ain’t ya? So far within like 12 hours you’ve hit on at least half a dozen of the lib’s favorite rhetoric myths. Are you taking the Tilt Correspondence course “How to Use Your Hate and Stop Thinking for Yourself in Three Easy Steps”? If hard wotrk can't get us there let's just fall back on weakness.” 7:39:43 AM 3/03/04 “Dear W, Good luck in your retirement. AMF! Dear Nigel, Try not to support bigotry and then accuse others of 'hate'.” 7:47:42 AM 3/03/04 “I'd like to know why it is that whne people speak out against this Adiminstration, it's "hate", "treasonus" or "Rhetoric"? Why can't it be what it is, dissatisfaction with the way things are going. We the people, can speak out against what ever the hell we don't agree with, it is written, it is so. Look, let's be honest with ourseleves here. Back in the 90's, the shoe was on the on the other foot. Repubs were "whining" about the lack of morals in the White House. Made it such an issue that they felt it nessessary to bog down Clinton and impeach him over it....for a phuckin' hummer and lieing about it. Now, people see that we're dealing with a litle more serious situation here......people didn't die because of Clinton's blowjob, but people are dieing now because of poor forsight and revenge, amoung other things. To me, a war waged on false pretenses (I don't give a rats ass about "the world being a safer place because Saddam was gone". That to me is a snow job....wake up!) seems to be a much more serious situation than Clintons. Unfortunantly, the Repubs set presidence when they impeached Clinton for a blowjob. Now, IF Bush gets re-elected, mark my words, his Adiministartion will be bogged down with all kinds of inquires, court cases and the likes, making it real hard for Bush to be even remotly effective. For this alone, we should not re-elect him....too much chit to deal with in the next four years. I think that what I'm getting at here is tat I would like to see everyone pull together, erase the lines between us and our "party lines", what ever they might be, and get on with it. We all know, with all bullchit aside, that Bush is not going to do us any good, be honest. I listened to Rush two days ago and then Hannity and Combs later that night.....it was the same show. They speak of how the left is full of hate, while Rush pounds his fist on the table. I just don't get it.” 8:08:37 AM 3/03/04 “I think I get it Q. When in the minority, the only way to stay in control is to divide the opposition: by class, by race, by creed... by 'whatever works'. That line about being 'a uniter not a divider' goes out the window when the primary tool is 'divide and conquer'.” 8:35:58 AM 3/03/04 “That would be true (in my opinion) of any political group. A politicians job no matter what flavor is to get and keep the power by any means necessary.” 8:47:56 AM 3/03/04 “And the pendulum swings to and fro....” 8:59:29 AM 3/03/04 “black vs white. rich vs poor. it is quite clear who the dividers are. what is not clear is how many unwealthy democrat voters continue to support a party that takes their money because they believe the voters are too stupid to know how to spend their own money. I work for wealthy people and they just bought me a great new truck, enabled me to purchase my dream property, pay for my children's dental needs and eye doctor visits, and share in their profits. Rich people employ poorer people. If you kill the rich man, we'll all be poor. If you take his money, because you think he doesn't deserve it, and you do deserve it, he will not be able to pay me for my services. The vast majority of rich people are self made. I bet even some of the whining libs on this board are what I'd consider "rich". It's a sham, a farce, a diversion. Government is the question, not the solution. You are the answer. You have the ability to succeed regardless of the admistration.... in spite of the government. You are focused on the wrong thing. Keep your eye on the prize and quit whining and get out there and kick a$$ and make it. It's not my fault, or Bush's fault if ou don't succeed. It is your's. I don't need vast wealth to be happy. In fact, I used to have a service company that catered to rich people and I got to know them intimately, because I was in their living room or office for 2 or 3 hours a week, and many rich people are completely miserable, highly stressed, with horrible problems. Greed is what makes this country work. Whether it's financial greed, or for fame or for the benifit of their fellow man. It drives men to pursue their dreams. It makes people work hard and create wealth. It feeds poor people and even people around the whole earth benifit from the money that "rich" people make in America. jihad bush” 9:05:11 AM 3/03/04 “In 2001 we were told there would jobs in 2002. No jobs in 2002. In 2002 we were told there would jobs in 2003. No jobs in 2003. In 2003 we were told there would jobs in 2004. A few low paying jobs so far in 2004. We were told there were WMD and we know where they are. No WMD. We were told the budget is 42 gazillion. If you don't count the 87 billion for the reconctruction of Iraq. We were told that the new Medicare will cost X. Two months later it's going to cost X + 27 Billion. We were told No Child Left Behind would cost X. The budget had it for X - 12 million. When does credibility become an issue?” 9:12:29 AM 3/03/04 “in npa news, bison pulls ahead in the fourth quarter and buries cross-state rival nigal, 100-70. allen iverson had 23 points and 6 rebounds, while rasheed wallace was called for 16 technical fouls, 4 flagrant fouls, and one "o my god you nearly killed that man!"” 9:20:08 AM 3/03/04 “Same ol' #&%!$, Dewd.” 9:20:40 AM 3/03/04 should read “in npa news, bison pulls ahead in the fourth quarter and buries cross-state rival buddha bear 100-70” 9:21:53 AM 3/03/04 “economics is way beyond me, so im sorry if this is off-topic, but shrub needs out based solely on the mess in iraq” 9:23:14 AM 3/03/04 “"I'd like to know why it is that whne people speak out against this Adiminstration, it's "hate", "treasonus" or "Rhetoric"? Why can't it be what it is, dissatisfaction with the way things are going.” I am calling it what it is. When someone makes claims and places blame where it doesn’t belong with out even supporting their view in addition to petty derogatory pictures what am I to think? When we get the same old tired, worn out claims that are spouted over and over by the left we can call that rhetoric. And please allow me to add “ignorant” to the list. The behavior of Buddha, tilt and Violin are the same tactics you constantly scold Stratdewd for…they just agree with you so it is called dissatisfaction and there is nothing wrong with it. I hardly have the time nor the stamina for the liberal tag team to come so please feel free to lambaste me at your will.” 9:23:34 AM 3/03/04 “If the people had marketable skills and an ounce of an education they will have jobs. The Dot-Com Crash did nothing but give the corporations excuses to get rid of human blue collar workers and replace them with technology... that's it. Why pay a whiny union member when I can have a machine run the line 24 hours a day and not have to pay it heath care.... I've switched jobs in the last 2 years... I looked, interviewed about a dozen times, took the best one and moved up.... ow hard is that? Oh...skills and education and a little thing call motivation. Quit whining! McDonlad's always need burger flippers...” 9:25:34 AM 3/03/04 “then why dont you ever call strat on his shaky conclusions?” 9:25:54 AM 3/03/04 “Not worth it.” 9:26:26 AM 3/03/04 “Different day, though! Strat, I am going to use the right that was given to me, my ability to use that one vote. This great country gave me that right and I intend to use it. Jihad has the connotation of everything this country DOES NOT stand for. You have, single handedly, taken a word and made it petty, trite, clicheic and applied to people that would normally have no use for this word. I intend to use my right to vote to try and implement some change to an administration that I feel has offered nothing but lies and has led this country in a direction that I personally don't want to see it go. So, please, don't apply a word towards me that insinuates that I advocate a holy war upon the president waged on the behalf of Islam. And don't try and tell me that it's 'tongue in cheek' either. You've way overused it past the point where you can say that.” 9:28:51 AM 3/03/04 “Strat is ver close to the agenda of the left.... they want everybody poor. That's their point. If everybody's poor then they have to rely on the government for everything and for some reason thinking that if everyone is the same that will solve all of societies problems.... They WANT that!!!” 9:32:46 AM 3/03/04 clicheic? “im sure thats not a word” 9:33:56 AM 3/03/04 “not sure, Storm, but I think the point is there...” 9:38:11 AM 3/03/04 “If I recall correctly, the word 'jihad' denotes a moral struggle. In this way the usage is correct. I believe there is a struggle underway in this country to rid it of Bush before he does something else to get people killed in large numbers. Unfortunately, our good friend uses it as a cultural epithet. And that's offensive.” 9:45:58 AM 3/03/04 “I have to admire Tilt's naivity. Here we're on the cusp of breaking al Qaeda's ability to act on a global scale, and he thinks Bush is only getting innocent people killed to no avail. I find it hard to imagine how an otherwise average intellect like Tilt's can go to extraordinary lengths to embrace emotional ignorance.” 10:39:36 AM 3/03/04 “The dot com crash had nothing to do with mechanizing manufacturing. That failure was based on the realization that nifty technology does not replace or depricate a solid business plan and shrewd business management. The investors who were hit hardest were those who put way too much value into ventures with no real way of making money. Good employees will always find work but frankly there are a hell of a lot less decent jobs out there in the last three years. I know several very educated and very experienced people who could not get work in our region and it certainly wasn't by any failure on their part. 65,000 H1B visas in the tech sector certainly don't help things. If you are used to making a good salary something like McDonalds is not a option. You would not be able to make ends meet.” 10:39:56 AM 3/03/04 “Muttley operates in a moral vacuum. Would the ends still justify the means if it was his own family blown to bits? Would he still blithely toss around terms like 'collateral damage' having no real concept of what they mean in human terms? Maybe so.” 10:53:51 AM 3/03/04 “Mutt, even if I believed what you are saying is true, which I think is pretty bold and not provable, I wouldn't vote for Bush for dozens of other reasons...” 11:09:07 AM 3/03/04 “Several months ago the Repub Natl Comm put out talking points to their faithful. Among the terms that were encouraged were; hate delusion ...more bullcrap from the masters of bullcrap and think-speak.” 11:12:21 AM 3/03/04 “Mutt missed the Bush Administration admissions that there were no links between Saddam and al Qaida. Uninformed... or just dim?” 11:17:57 AM 3/03/04 “I'm not into a liberial tag team, and that's the problem I'm trying to address. Your right, Nigal. I do rake Strat over the coals because of improper use of terms and just plainly talking out of his ass. This "Greed is what makes this country work. Whether it's financial greed, or for fame or for the benifit of their fellow man..........." is an example of me wanting to hit my head on my desk repeatedly. I don't want the world to be this way, I'm disturbed that this person thinks this way (it's being part of the problem, not being part of the solution) and it's a waste of time, just like these discussions. My point I was trying to make on this thread is that there is a double standard. Repubs #&%!$ed and whined, but then they turn the tables and say the Libs are whining about Bush. Repubs can't have it both ways. I want consistantcy, from both sides, without walls. We ALL don't need to be this way.” 11:26:46 AM 3/03/04 “Would the ends still justify the means if it was his own family blown to bits? Inapt analogy. Would you rather we appease the terrorists and negotiate with them after 9/11? Or would you rather destroy them? If you prefer the former, then several thousand families of those who died in 9/11 would have some very interesting responses for you. Treebeard: Are following the happenings in Pakistan? Mushariff (sp?) is backed into a corner. He has to make the ISI cooperate or risk outright conflict with the U.S. And are you following what's happening in Iraq? No civil war, guerrilla conflict is simmering down, the jihadists are alienating both sunnis and shiites (and Iran) with their terrorist bombings. Saudi Arabia is cooperating on cracking down on terrorists, as is Syria and Iran. Elsewhere in the world, US military contacts with foreign militaries are increasing. Things are starting to look up. But I'll reserve my final judgement until after the Spring offensive in Pakistan.” 11:28:38 AM 3/03/04 “Uninformed... or just dim? Why should I care? Unlike you, I knew all along that WMD was at best an ancillary reason for war, and that it was just an expedient casus belli to convince people like you that war was necessary. Try again...” 11:30:47 AM 3/03/04 “Sorry, not WMD, but terrorist connections. The connection between terrorism and Iraq is the geopolitical position the U.S. occupies right now!” 11:32:12 AM 3/03/04 “For what it's worth - David Kay said today that there wasn't any WMD's and Bush needs to come clean on the issue, his own words. He went on to say that he (Kay) would concider it his lifetime work to see that that happened. So now, myu question is: Does he join O'Neil and the likes as a clown, terrorist, traitor, Liberial, Commies now? Second Part to the above question: People have come out of this Adim against what happened. Why is that? Do they also want to jump sides? If this Adimistartion is so strong, why are people jumping off the bandwagon like Rats on the Titanic? Would anyone like to offer an opinion on why Condie Rice refuses to talk to the 9/11 inqurie? They are gonna have to suppoena her, ya know.....” 11:42:22 AM 3/03/04 “My Dear Mutt, In your zeal to destroy bin Laden you mirror him.” 11:44:01 AM 3/03/04 “Yeah, I suppose so, tilt. Just as the U.S. mirrored that warmongering Hitler when we went to war in Europe.” 11:45:55 AM 3/03/04 “Oh yeah, and since I'm so much like bin Laden, I think the best way to attack him would be to fly airplanes into skyscrapers in the biggest mideast cities.” 11:48:18 AM 3/03/04 “dang. Kay and O'Reilly should do a Food Channel Special: Kay eats crow and O'Reilly swallows his hat.” 12:01:43 PM 3/03/04 “Yep – Greed is good. When people act in their self-interest and get rich, they deserve it because they are inadvertently making the world a better place. A couple of excellent cases in point would be Bernie Ebbers and Jeff Skilling. How can the world ever repay them?” 12:02:45 PM 3/03/04 “Leona Helmsley? "Greed is good", is just something that the parrots have been told to say.” 12:57:21 PM 3/03/04 “"If the Democratic policies had been pursued over the last two or three years, the kind of tax increases that both Kerry and Edwards have talked about, we would not have had the kind of job growth that we've had." So says Vice President Dick Cheney. Duh... duh... duh... what?!! We've lost over 2 million manufacturing jobs since Bush started cutting taxes for his buddies - that's negative growth. Is Cheney really blaming Bush's tax cuts for causing the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover?” 1:15:36 PM 3/03/04 “I don't know what to think. It seems at times like people are not on the same page. I get the vibe that the cat is backed into a corner.” 2:45:07 PM 3/03/04 “Excuse me, laqtis.......don't you mean RAT?” 3:10:16 PM 3/03/04 Jump to Page << prev
