The Legend of Zelda Fans Thread

“So I got a Nintendo Game Cube for Christmas and it came with Guantlet...a good game. However, the only reason I wanted a Game Cube...The Legend of Zelda. The games require problem solving and good hand-eye coordination. Of all the games ever made Zelda games are my favorite.

Since the forum is a little slow tonight...any other fans?

I just ordered a collector's edition Game Cube disc that has the original two games for Nintendo, the Super Nintendo Zelda, and one other...not bad for $20”

“I love Zelda, I almost bought the game cube for that very reason but the sales clerk told me the game was just a reissue of The Ocarana Zelda. So I didn't get it. Was he telling the truth?”

“He was lying. I've played the Windwalker Zelda, I don't own it yet, but it is WAY different than any other Zelda game...the play control and world are also way better. I've owned and beaten every zelda game except game boy versions. Zelda rocks.”

“Hey you must be preparing your foods right? Well, i took a master food preservers class and here is what i can tell you about dehydrating food. Get a Excaliber dehydrater. It is the best anywhere around. Don't get one of those cheapie round ones and here is why. Your food will not be safe unless you use different temps for different foods. For example, meat and protein foods need to be dried at a higher temp or else bacteria will set in and you will get sick. This company has many settings for different types of foods.
Also, this company puts good fans in their dehydrators. The round ones do not have that.
They are located in Sacramento, and I am sure you can do a search on the internet for it. If you need the number I'll look it up.

This is very important because 1) you do not want to get ill or die from food poisoning, and 2) you do not want your food going bad.

Also, if you dehydrate veggies or fruit, always freeze the food after drying in the freezer for about a week. This will kill off any possible insect eggs etc from hatching and infesting your food.

I hope this will help you with your food preparation. Plus, it is so easy when you cook a meal, to make two servings, dehydrating one so you have a great variety to eat. Store the foods into the freezer until you are ready to leave, because, certain foods do not have as long of shelf life as fruits. (i.e. eggs, fatty foods, chili etc.)

BTW, the second game for the 8-bit Nintendo -- think it was called The Adventure of Link -- was like the most difficult game to beat ever.”

“Yeah, Zelda IS the only reason I bought a game cube. Adventure of Link was damn hard! I liked Ocarina of Time a lot as well as Wind Waker, but I think WW had too much sailing involved. I see in the new GC Zelda they are going back to land. I just can't believe the graphics...they're trying to match Final Fantasy.

Tango, I have a GC disc that has all the old games on it. I can play the 8-bit Nintendo games on the Cube...pretty cool.”

“Glad to see Nintendo has decided to lose the kiddy appearance of the recent Zelda. Has anyone played Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III)? From January through March I was assigned to work in nowhere Alaska. I rarely play RPGs, more of a sports gamer, but with the limited daylight in AK and hours everyday to kill Morrowind (Xbox) kept me sane. It has the most unlimited and unrestrained game play of any game I have ever seen.”

“Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) has won about every major RPG of the Year Award. Great game but I will warn you, unless you play it on the most difficult level, the game tends to get very easy early in the game play as your character becomes very powerful. Also, you can actually cheat by accident thus making your character near invincible. Still a very long, strategic, and exciting game with tons of mods that can be downloaded for the computer.

“Hey Z, The Legend of Zelda was pretty cool -- mainly because it was like 2 games in 1. There was the first quest, and as if that wasn't difficult enough to beat, there was a whole second quest after that -- even more difficult.”
