I got a coola$$ hat from Reformed Lurker in the gift exchange. It's a wide brimmed mylon hat but breathes very well. I call it my backcountry pimp hat because when I put it on and walk around I hear pimp theme music in my head...bow chicka bow wow, chicka chicka bow wow!”

“I got some new skis - a little more backcountry oriented. Also, I got a couple of aluminum water bottles (Eddie Bauer, I think). I wouldn't have thought of getting these things - they come with a little carabiner. But they're actually lighter than a nalgene bottle! They look kinda fancy - one's blue, one's red - and will likely get all scratched up, but so far I can't think of why not to use them instead of the nalgene....

Supposedly has silver fibers woven into it to cut down on the smell, or something along those lines.”
