STOMP !!!

“I have just returned from a three hour lunch... went to see STOMP at the Merriam Theater in CC Philly. I am so energized, I may just get off TT and do some work. What a high energy, unique performance. It was a gift from all of us to all of us (family.)”

“Har har har! I worked for the Performing Arts Center at the University of Florida when I was in college. Got to climb up on the lighting grids, help set up shows, and do all sorts of fun stuff. Great exercise and exciting work, I miss doing it.”

“I saw Stomp when it first came out on tour. What a great show. I (and most likely everyone eose) left the place wanting to drive a beat out of all the ordinary objects I came across.”

For me, that's true to an extent. Shows like "Stomp" and "The Blue Man Group" TOTALLY blew me away, especially Blue Man group... but as for live plays and such, they don't do anything for me. I saw "Chicago" on Broadway, and we had the killer box seats that were at the same place as those two guys in the Muppets that make all the sarcastic comments. Afterwards, some couple that was in there with us kept raving about how "marvelous" and "brilliant" the play was, and they turned to us and asked what we thought. I just shrugged and said "I don't know, it was just a bunch of people singing and dancing. It kinda sucked." They turned up their noses and walked away after that, it was pretty funny.”

“Stomp! is really awesome. I love the live theater, although I haven't been able to attend much in recent years because Broadway prices have gone through the roof. I saw one of Bob Fosse's shows some years back. Dancin' was the name. It was just individual songs and his choreography to it. That guy was incredible.”
