New Years

“I don't have any concrete New Year plans yet but it is a three day weekend and if I can I will spend it in the back country. We'll have to see. Maybe the Catskills, maybe Vermont. I don't think I'll be able to get up to the Whites.”

“No...the strip joint is called "Visions"....and the visions there are not very pretty...I didn't think the goirls were very pretty and they were all too skinny...they all looked like drug users......( just my opinion...)I know pretty when I see it...”

“well crap my new year's plans have fallen through. Have to work during the day and now my brother broke up with his girl friend and is looking for a place to live. My friend from Texas cant make it now either.

My wife has my daughter that weekend....

finding a nice quiet spot in the woods and contemplating the last 29 years of my life while looking forward to a fresh start in so many ways in 2005 is starting to sound very appealing.

“Of all Holidays, NYE has always turned into a cluster#&%!$ for me. I've almost given up on it.

“This year, for the 1st time in the past 20 some-odd years, I'm not going to be hosting a NYE party.... instead, my friends and I are going to see my favorite band, THe Romantics and hopefully party with them :-)

We're moving our NYE party to New Year's day-- It will be a lot different-- more family oriented, as lots of my friends with Kids will hopefully be able to come-- The guys can watch the bowl games and the moms and kids can make cookies and pizzas and such... I think it might be a fun change-of-pace-- since it will be during the day, people won't be so worried about drunks on the road!”

“OK, change of plans again..I'm back to the cabin on the Ohio River.

We will stay Friday and Saturday nights in a cozy two bedroom cabin overlooking the Ohio. Hottub on the back porch and fire pit on the banks of the river.

The cabins comes with a canoe to explore the Ohio and several nearby tributaries.

Also several trailheads into the Hoosier National Forest are very close.”

“Sounds cool John. My sister and her friends have been renting a cabin in Brown county for that last few years. The place is gorgeous and it is in the middle of the woods.”

“I'm not going anywhere for New Years, but I'm getting out of Dodge for the Superbowl. That'll be unbearable.”

“WK, I love Brown County. It was acutally one of our choices, but everyting was alread booked. There are some beautiful cabins there with great views.”

“This will be the 8th freakin year i've had to work on NYE, Halloween, Mardi Gras, and here's the kicker, Paddy's day. Not only do I not get to party, but they are the worst day to work. Sure the money is better, but not significantly. These are what I call amateur nights. People that don't normally go out are lined up at the bar being rude, shouting, throwing up, and generally being impatient idiots. I wish I could have a quiet NYE at home or with friends.
