“I'm partying in Lassen park with a bunch of TT'rs, a few from the "other side" and about 15 of my buds. Skiing and snowshoeing the New Year in.....and then some.

I haven't been released to do any backpacking yet so I won't be. :(

But I think a group of us are going to rent a cabin up around Patoka Lake or Lake Monroe for a a couple nights to bring in the new year.

“That sounds like a killer plan. I live exactly 45 min away from Springer Mtn. Keep me informed dblalock@backpacker.com. BTW, I knew that they were both wipped @ Deep Gap when everyone was packed up and they were still asleep!!!”
