You are cordially invited...
...to the next meeting of the HMWHC, Huntsville chapter. If you want to prove you're not a troll, you can just drive an hour and a half west to our clubhouse at the Huntsville Hooters. We'll ogle some half-naked women, get liquored up and grab our AK-47s and go shoot some spotted owls, or maybe go bomb a few abortion clinics. Whaddaya say, sport???

Are trolls in season, Geo? Do ya need a license ta hunt 'em??? This clown actually admits to being from South Pittsburg, Tn. where their greatest claim to fame is the Lodge outlet store. This town makes Gila Bend, Az. look like paradise. If this goober ain't a troll, I'll eat my hat.

No kidding, and the ammo is cheap!

Well not as cheap as .22, but still cheaper than 30-06.

Even my wife likes shooting that rifle.

I saw some Russian ones once though, and they're pretty. The wood on these looked like a sort of dark, almost purple mahogany. They come with the blade bayonet instead of the spike bayonet though.

The 7.62 X 39 compares favorably with the 30-30, also...

The Russian SKS's are well made, superior to the Chinese rifles. A buddy of mine has both. The Chinese is a good rifle though. And like you said, you can shoot 39X7.62 for cheap. My old man has an AR-15 and it costs him an arm and a leg to shoot his .223 rounds.

I replaced the wood stock with a synthetic. Looks pretty cool that way. If you're not using the 10-round loading clips you should pick some up. Loading is a snap with those bad boys.

Yah, I was trying to talk my wife's uncle into letting me hunt with him on his land with my SKS. I gotta get some softnosed rounds though.

Oh, and my hunting license, lol...

I think trolls are like crows FG. You can hunt them anytime, don't need a license, and if you turn the ears in you get a bounty from the extension agent.

I have a quite a few stripper clips. They do make it easy to reload the weapon, yes indeed-y!

I think Cheaper Than Dirt sells Wolf .223 pretty cheap, he might want to check them out.

I haver a Ruger Mini-30 myself. Pretty danged accurate rifle even with surplus Eastern Bloc ammo. One of my brothers has a VEPR11 Russian-made AK variant that he says is very well-made and extremely accurate.

The Wolf .223's jam really easy. We were blasting those out a few months ago, and the old man was pretty pissed off that he was jamming so much. It was the first time he had used the Wolfies, and he never had jamming probs before.

That AR-15 setup with a good scope is one helluva weapon.

I dont have any probs with the Wolfs in my SKS though.

I remember hearing some buddies from the military saying (this was in the 80's) that the Czech AK were the absolute best. But I have no proof of that.

That's what is nice about the SKS as well as the AK-47. The AR-15s and M-16s are very well made and more accurate, but require too much TLC. You can crawl through dirt and mud with an SKS or AK, piss down the barrel and come out firing. Rugged.

The military M16 is no more accurate than any other military rifle and doesn't hit near as hard as the AK. That's why so many GIs wanted to get their hands on them in 'Nam. Problem was, if they fired a captured AK, their buddies would shoot at the sound...

I'm here. FG, what's your problem? What's wrong with a little fun during a slow day or two at work.

skully and Violin figured out who I was. I did help skully a bit. chili and I talked on the phone a few minutes ago and he was already slurring his words more than Joe Namath on ESPN.

I'm signed up as a maybe for Savage Gulf. Maybe I'll have to make that a definite so I can see if you talk as big in person as you do on here.

I had never done it and it was a slow day. I tried to keep it all fun. I mean come on, I hit religion, pollitics, guns, abortion, alcohol. We covered lots of ground there and actually got a bit on intellectural discussion in to boot.

Both were successful trol threads and for different reasons.

The new gear thread had people screaming troll pretty quickly but just kept posting. I'd drop hints that people ignored. How about the buy bacpac a heart comment and the buy the liberals some balls comment. Only 2 posts from those lines. I agree with V that the embibers and drunkards was good. chili came back with something about inebreists. Good stuff.

The other thread was a joke that most folks have gotten on email and I just sat back and watched. I probably had 4 posts on the whole thing before I admitted I was a troll. Also, when that one was posted it was obvious I was a troll and people kept posting.

You posted the same old bullcrap that's been hashed over a million times. I have to admit though, you garnered quite a bit of attention. People are bored, that's all. If you know about the Chris Fox thing, there are only a couple of people you could be.
