Just can't make it right now. Not ready to backpack just yet, and work work work.

Actually, that Wx forecast is pretty good for three days in West-By-God. If I was going, the National Guard would be on duty with boats.

What deathmarch? From M_Silver's map, I see that we have one significant climb on Friday, and one significant climb on Saturday. The rest looks all relatively level or downhill...

Anyway, I'm packed and ready 2 go. Leaving from NJ tomorrow morning around 8; ETA at the sods in T - 5 hours and counting.

Let the West Virginia invasion begin! C U There!

(PS - I just realized that the Sods are about the same distance as the Adirondack High Peaks from me. Mind-Blowing... )

I couldn't find anything about how M Silver planned on getting his car to the end of the rhrbaugh plains trail...so I'm gonna walk out to my car and leave my extra food there. Then if Pros, Gem, and M want to do it, I can take my car to one end and M Silvers to the other and just do a lil extra hiking.

dub,

I posted the following message twice: once on this thread, and also on the Arrival Times thread. Hope you catch it before you leave...

"PhantomSoul and I plan to meet at the Picnic Area on FS 19 around 1-2 PM. We'll then spot my car at the Rohrbaugh Plains Trail trailhead on FS 19, then go in his vehicle to the Red Creek Trail trailhead. I expect we'll hit the trail by no later than c. 3 PM. We'll trek to the Friday night campsite and catch the rest of youans there."

I am leaving in 30 minutes, but it is a ten hour 30 minute drive with another hour loss due to crossing into the eastern time zone. I will see you all at the campsite.
