“anybody hiked this or read the book? i just finished reading the maine section. a more satisfying read than "a walk in the woods" . has a much less commerical feel and geared more toward what a backpacker might enjoy reading as opposed to the what the ignorant general public might enjoy.”

i wish! logistically, it would be difficult to do, since you have to make reservations at baxter months in advance, but i wont have a fair idea of when ill reach baxter until im a few weeks away. and planning the AT is going to be enough to occupy me the next couple m onths”
