I usually try to let most things folks do roll off because it does no good to get upset--you can't change 'em. HOWEVER, I do get really fried at folks that feed the squirrels up at the canyon--those suckers have become aggressive and instead of thinking they are cute and fun I think they have become like big rats and I have been known to throw rocks at them (when the ranger was not looking) but they don't back off and leave you alone. Aaaaaargh!!

Dang liz!
Now whatchya doin' tellin' people how to feed horses?

NJPacker, I think some of them mooks are from Baltimore and Philadelphia too!

Mary Phyl, funny, the wild horses seem like BIG rats to me.
I've seen 'em totally toss campsites where people have left food out.
We've had to chase them away bangin' pots and pans........and chucked a rock or two.

Doh!!!

Those dang day-trippers feed 'em and leave and the campers are stuck with the BIG RATS sniffin' around for more!

Sometimes they mosey on in at night and we have to post a guard with a two-by-four!!!

j/k about the two-by-four!

Aw, I couldn't really be mad at you!

I ASSumed that you guys would be car camping.

You could car camp and drive south to the end of the road and dayhike the beach.

The bay side of Assateague Island is nice for canoeing and kayaking.

There are lots of marshy inlets where snowy egrets hang out and those skanky horses, too.
