Okay, I just got engaged to my girlfriend, K. We've been dating for a year and a half.

She grew up in and lives near Green Bay. Her whole family are Packers' fans. Who isn't?

I live in SC Michigan and am a life-long Detroit Lions fan.

One of her friends in WI is from Detroit. We talked about the ethics of also rooting for the Packers. We decided that since they were in our division, we couldn't root for them at any point.

Well, well. My Detroit Lions were obviously eliminated from Super Bowl consideration in like week two. And the past two weeks, I've watched the Packers and secretly rooted for them.

What should I do?

:)

What should you do? Bang your girlfriend Packer style this Sunday while you're watching the Pack beat the Eagles. If she really loves you, she'll let you.

Forget it, the marriage will never work.

Pakcers fans are the WORSE fans I have ever met. You think that they are poor losers? You should see then when they win!!!

Give it up now, I'm telling you, save the divrce money and buy more gear.

RL, I suggest going the sympathy route, you can easily play the Brett Favre's father just passed away and whether you HATE the Packers or not you have to respect a future hall of famer and root for him to go all the way this year

I am mostly a Cowboys fan so maybe this explains my disfunctional personality.

As long as you live in MI you cannot switch teams. You may be allowed to root for the Packers when they aren't playing the Lions or they are playing some team from another division; but only if the outcome of the game does not have any immediate effect on the Lion's playoff picture.

If you move to WI you can switch to the Packers, but still be allowed to root for the Lions when they are playing someone else.

Those are the rules, Playboy published them a year or two ago.

You live in the Detroit area and are worried about the Lions?

Let the in-laws have football season and the Packers . . .

. . YOU"VE GOT THE RED WINGS!!!!

Marriage saved, in-laws are pleased, and you are hailed as a genius - the perfect hat trick!

Now the only question remaining is will you have enough booze at the wedding for all of us TTr's?

I never could see the point in rooting for a corporation.... I guess having the 1960s Falcons as my local team innoculated me.

RL don't you know the Lions thrive on disinterest. The moment you see a glimmer of hope they let you down. Every time! Root for the Packers in public, doubt the Lions, and watch.

Congrats again!

I was born in Washington and live in Baltimore.

I love to point out to rabid Baltimore Colts fans that it was the fans who let the team go to Indianapolis.

The state of Misery, but they have the redeeming quality of having the word KANSAS in their name. The Chiefs are right across the Misery river from KC, KS, and at the mouth of the Kansas river.

Wouldn't it be ironic, if that guy was eating nachos during this weekend's game against the Packers? And he had his shirt off? And he spilled cheese on his tattoo? And the Packers won? That'd be, like, really cool and stuff.

Tell your soon to be wife that under no circumstances will you ever be a cheese head. When she gets pi$$ed, leave the house in a cloud of dust and squealing tires and go to Hooters. Spend the entire afternoon eating hot wings, drinking beer and fawning over the waitresses.

At some point she either comes to an agreement, or you get a date with a Hooters girl.

Win/Win.

Any more questions?

Poor Joe Gibbs
My son just text messaged me (LOL) and told me that Joe Gibbs has agreed to come back and coach the Redskins. Anybody out there hear about this? With that little schmuck Synder owning the team I fear for Gibbs. Ah.....great memories of Riggins, Theisman and the Hogs.

Colts fans wouldn't support the team and so they took a better offer in Indy. Seems to me that the Browns-Ravens did the same thing.

Running back Quincy Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct for failing to disperse after a weekend wedding party, making him the 10th Cincinnati Bengals player arrested in the past 14 months.

and

Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones was being sought by police for questioning about a shooting early today involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

The Tennessee Titans cornerback is currently on suspension following a melee and shooting at a Las Vegas strip club.

The Bloods. The Crips. The Bengals.

The NFL has become so anally retentive they restrict the individuality of the players. It's gotten worse than NASCAR and what you can say and do. This is a molehill.
