“I have two trips under my belt, both solo in the Highpeaks of the ADK's. First trip ended after i lost my food the first night. Second trip, I survived with a Garcia container while everyone around me lost food in stuff sacks and backpacks. the bears were bugging us from early evening to mid morning.

I had a bear 5ft from me b/c someone else hung food improperly (10ft from my site & 10ft above a stream!) and I had a bear grab my clothes out of my pack while I was cooking breakfast off site.
