It doesn't appear as if they do. There seems to be an Ebay store that is them, but it's hard to tell.

I just read somewhere that Target has a 5500ci Eddie Bauer(sp) backpack that usually goes for about a hundred bucks for 40 bucks.

I got wind proof fleece top and pants at Target for a total of $30 the other day. Normally would cost $55 and at REI would be nearly a $200 purchase and it doesn't seem that different. I need some good inexpensive crampons now.

Great Leads!
I picked up the last Starter Dri-Fit shirt in my size and an Ozark Trails Lexan bottle at Wal-Mart. Thanks.

Cheap Tee Shirts
Just bought a couple of ProSpirit "Beyond Cotton" tee shirts at Target. 100% Polyester (exculsive of decoration). $7.99 ea.! Very much like my $30.00 Patagonia Capilene shirt.

What do you consider to be inexpensive, nashvillehiker? Campmor has instep crampons for $30 to $40.

Wal-Mart is starting to stock their Fleece jackets, vests, and pullovers at $9.83 each again.

I wouldn't be caught dead in cheap Wal Mart Fleee. I need a fancy label on all my clothes. I love those starter poly tops though...

Kinda funny how things change. When fleece first came out I couldn't afford it and wouldn't wear it if I could because that's what all the fat cat frat boys wore when we were in college. Now that frat boys probably won't wear it because you can get it cheap in Wal-Mart. I guess they will wear it, but it would be a DDX brand.

I love shopping at Super Wal-Marts.
I can buy my food, ammunition, and cheap fleece all at the same place, way cheaper than Winn Dixie! ;-)

How hard is it to figure out that if you have 30 lanes, with only 2 open and each has at least 15 people waiting, that another lane or two should be opened?

I figure in the wait as the tradeoff for the way cheaper prices. Still, I don't have to like it.

Actually, I've found my local Army & Navy store is 9 out of 10 time cheaper than Wal-Mart and a lot of the items were made locally. I figure they can sell them cheaper, do to the fact shipping costs are cheaper.

Can you buy a nice T-Bone steak at the Army & Navy store? ;-)

The Wal Mart Supercenter near my house has every checkout lane open during certain times of the week and posts those hours by every checkout line. More often then not I'm just stoppign in for a couple of items and I ususally don't have to wait in line with all the self checkout lines they now have.

Nope, but I can stop at both the supermarket and Army & Navy store in half the time and gas that it would take to get to Wal-Mart.

Checkout lines!
They call them that because you'll probably "Check out" before they get around to ringing up your purchases...

Stovey, the few checkout lines are the route to HIGHER PROFITS, not lower prices...

WalMart's attitude is screw the customer, we have it, they want it, let'em wait...

Self Service checkouts, just another way WalMart is NOT serving the customer.

Hmmm, I wonder how much of Stovey's annual spend goes into Communist Party coffers?

I've still never been inside a Wal Mart.

Y2 is on drugs again. ;-)

Part of my paycheck does go to commies. I give to the Unitied Way each pay period. Many UberLibbie orgs get funds from them, along with Fascist Right Wing orgs like the Salvation Army and the Boy Scouts.

Well since I found A Winchester fleece jacket that sells for about 25 bucks, and a pair of Stearns rain pants that goes for 20 bucks at Wally world, both for $8.50 at the thrift shop. I pretty much killed 2 birds with 1 bullet!! Still had to go to Wally world for the bullets though.<(8>O

Insiders point out Wal-Mart's imports from China have largely influenced the US trade deficit in China, which is expected to reach US$150 billion this year.

So far, more than 70 per cent of the commodities sold in Wal-Mart are made in China.

WalMarts "Made in America" campaing stalled out several years ago.

If you wait until spring, the fleece all goes on sale at Wally world and target.

More scared of Communism stovey. After all, it's the Chinese economy that you're supporting by shopping at Walmart.

Why not try to buy American goods? ;op

I scored a pair of Austi Alpin Neve Crampons a few days ago for $47.47 on the www.Steepandcheap.com site. Don't know how good they are but they normally retail for $100.00. I'll give um a try.

Just picked up a "Box-o-Jo" from Dunkin Donuts. it has a poly insulated liner the hold 100oz's. Weight: nil folds down flat to 3"x 6" and has a relatively wide mouth. Downside: $11 full of coffee. Upside: DD makes REALLY good coffee. : )

Correct me if I am wrong...but if you fold it won't all the precious coffee spill out? I mean I think I remember that most liquids don't compress well.....
