DVD's on the Trail

“i wouldn't mind watching a movie in my thermarest chair while drinkin some brews after dinner. it's not something i'd want to do all the time, but there have been times when i think i would have enjoyed it.
course, i'll never own a portable dvd player im sure, much less carry it on a bp trip. if someone else carried it in and sat it in front of me, though...”

“The last guy I lived with got so depressed because he couldn't watch Letterman on his battery operated TV he went to bed at 7am..it was full moon, camping at Kaloloch on the Pacific ocean in Olympic NP..I spent the whole night watching the moon play over the beach and the huge, white logs washed up from the rainforest..I love music and often think about bringing some with me while backpacking but in the end I decide against it..change is good; I get enough electronic noise in everyday life..sometimes it's good to tune into the universe..still, there have been times that I know the scene I'm looking at would be wonderful if I could have the music I'm hearing in my head blasting into my brain..but, that's just me...eh eh eh..”
