Humidity is your worst enemy?

The entire east is rather humid.

Its just not as warm in Pansysylvania as in the real south.

On the kayak thing, I doubt will be doing any of that. Too many waterfalls and gorges to hike to.

It can snow all it wants next week. I have to drop my car off at the auto body shop tonight. But, first I have to make it to the car rental before 6pm, so I can get a crappy Neon to drive around in for the next 3 days. So all that snow and I wont have my all wheel drive and have to drive a car that has so little leg room that I wont be able to keep my knees up off of the steering wheel.

So how much hiking are we going to be able to cram into this trip?
lumberzac

The day hikes are numerous, but the trails don't seem to be day long hikes. I think we can go to two places int he course of any given day if we chose to. That would probably make it a pretty full day and I am not guaranteeing (given 'other' factors) what shape we will be in the following day. Let's play it by ear. I want to have lots of alternatives so we can, collectively, narrow it down while up there...

Pennsy!
Got the book and it is great.

Pennsy loaned me his book entitled "Waterfalls and Gorges of the Finger Lakes Region", and it is superb. The pictures are just fantastic. I will read up on these places in the next few days and hopefully come up with some more alternative day hikes that we can collectively opt from...

Thanks, Penns! You're a good man, despite what Artex says about you!
