If I win Geo, will you accuse me of bribing the judges?
Wounded Knee

Treebeard fessed up to bribing the judge. I didn't make that up. It wouldn't be so bad, but he bribed the judge after I already had bribed the judge with a drink of Glen Fiddich scotch. That's what rankles me. On top of that, he delayed his ribs while my lamb chops dried out.

I'd never heard that story Geo!

True. We set dinner time at 5 and trees ribs were not ready until nearly 5:30. Dried out lamb doesn't cut it.

"100 bucks says she does, Mark!

Easiest 300 smackeroos I will ever make..."
Treebeard
03:12:27 PM

Hold on there, mister!

This has the appearance of a conflict of interest.

You, sir, must recuse yourself!

Geo, the ribs were good! Can't you just admit that? Marinating them in the East River is an old recipe started by my descendants right after they checked in with helpful and kind immigration officials at Ellis Island!
Treebeard

3/23/04

It's got to be that proper balance of East River slug and dead bodies that makes it good.

Yes, Zac! I studied under Martha Stewart in her old days. Few know that we collaborated on the topic of the taste advantages offered by micro-organisms and how to recycle your wet trash and garnish just about any dish with it!

Don't forget the PCB's that GE was most gracious to add to the Hudson back in the 60's & 70's.

And then there's General Motors auto paint plant which added nice colors to an otherwise drab environ.

3/23/04

To be serious for a moment, environmental strides have in reality been made in the Hudson. It is not as dirty as it used to be. I am sorry to say that it has ruined my marinade a bit, but it's better for the ecosystem here...

I'm going to be on the road for a week prior to Ithaca.

How can I compete with you mooks who can and will prepare something tasty AT HOME?

I must wing it with only charcoal and a little cook stove.
MarkO
10:12:51 AM
3/23/04

I'm sure you can scrape something up on the road if you really try.
lumberzac

If I cook it with the hair on it I could be a contender!~!

I mxed together some sauce at home. The only reason is that it has about 12 different ingedients and carrying full bottles and packages of all that was not practical...
Treebeard
12:32:31 PM
3/23/04

You're car camping for God sakes where do you have to 'carry' it? J/K

Wounded Knee

3/23/04

let me rephrase that
If you had a choice between bringing a container full of sauce or trying to keep all those bottles of leftover material refigerated in a limited size cooler for several days, what would make sense to you?
