i spoke to the park police and they tell me that if you know your site #, and the name of the person you are sharing with, then it's no prob getting in, even if you're not registered.
oh...and the most important part... alcohol and glass bottles are ok in the park.

Roam
When you get to the "bridge", you will be asked three questions:

1) What is your name?

2) What is your quest?

3) What is your favorite color?

If you answer questions 1 and 2 correctly and then answer, let's say, red! Uh, I mean brown! You will be cast into the gorge of eternal peril. So, please be careful. Hope this helps!

The problem I wil have with the camcorder is when the batteries die I am s-o-l. I was thinking about stopping at Radio Shaq to pick up one of those things you plug into your cigatette lighter that has an adaptor. You know what I am talking about?

There are plenty of gorges in that neck of the woods. Gorges aplenty! One right in the park!

The weather is not looking too good at this point. Keep your fingers crossed for a change in forecast.

Friday and Saturday, 50% chance for rain.

That's why we'll have the Tarp Mahal.

Speaking of which, we may need more than one tarp. I count upwards of 30 people. The Tarp Mahal is rated for about 15. The Fire Marshal gets antsy if we go above that by too much.

Wally World sells a 16x32 tarp (same size as the Tarp Mahal) for about $25. The poles (six are needed) are extra. Also needed: stakes and rope.

Guess I'm gonna have to study up on my glacial geology. I see beautiful U-shaped valleys and what have to be drumlins, moraines and such. A few lakes on the plateaus look like kettle holes. The finger lakes, of course, were carved by the ice.

This is a good point. We have a small canope set-up which may or may not be good for this bunch. Does anybody have any gear along these lines that they are willing to throw into their vehicles for party central use before anyone goes out and speands more money on this stuff?

Let's see if we can pool together enough here...

doesn't look like 96 intersects though. Ok, I just called the park. FROM THE SOUTH:

rt 17 to rt 13 through small town of Newfield. Road divides for about 1/2 mile going downhill. This is the outskirts of the park. There will be an old Victorian that used to be a restaurant called Turbacks(sp). Then a plant/fruit stand and then the sign for rt 327. and entrance to park

FROM THE NORTH:

rt 13 south past Buttermilk Falls about 1 1/2 miles . Rt 327 is on rt as well as entrance to park
