The weather held out today just long enough for me to pitch the ol' car camping tent and get some seam sealer on it. This tent is going to be massive, and it's all for me! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha! On another note, I guess I'll get to see just how effective the seam sealer is...

Oh, and CB -- I don't believe Ruby ran off because of me. So far, she's the only other definite on the Mooseapolooza trip. As for homage for the Mooseapolooza trip, I guess I'll be a good sport: would you like a medal or a monument? (heh heh...)”

“This weather forecast is looking worse and worse every time I look at it (of course, smart logic would dictate for me to not look at the weather forecast anymore...). We've now been upgraded to showers (50% chance of rain) and cold (only low 70's) for both tomorrow and Friday and showers (30% chance) on Saturday.

There's no sun in Ithaca's forecast whatsoever until Next Thursday...maybe... :(”

the cookoff was EXCELLENT! i'll let someone who's going to put together a real trip report tell the winner. i've never tasted such awesome food while camping before. it was all so amazing.

i'll also let mapleleaf tell a funny story LOL.

“Made it to the midway point in Southeast NY (my parents' house) about an hour ago -- will be completing the rest of the trip soon so I can finish unpacking, as (yup, you guessed it) it's absolutely pouring here...

I'll let Treebeard start the official trip report, but let me just say:

1) Props to all the chefs on Saturday night -- I don't remember the last time I ate so well.

2) Props to Pennsy and Tango for putting together an amazing hiking itenerary. 200 pictures later, my camera battery is completely drained. Several "best-of" series will be posted to Webshots soon.

3) Finally, last but not least, Mad Props to Treebeard and MapleLeaf for pulling off one of the biggest camping trips I've ever been on. I absolutely enjoyed meeting all the new people (as in doubling the size of my Who have you met list -- which I'll also have to update), as well as seeing a bunch of old TT friends again. You guys all rock -- I had an awesome time!
