Take a look at this 'tent'.

I can't decide if it is a real product or not. You decide!

It may be real but the site does not inspire buyer confidence.

Holy shlt is right! That’s a trampoline tent!

Looks like everyone would end up sleeping in a big puppy pile right in the middle.

Real or not that is too freakin' funny! (I don't think it's real and even if it is I don't think it'd work as shown)

That's gotta be a heavy tent:

Nigal, don't discount that as no fun.

Add a tub of butter-flavored Crisco, and it might be a goooooood time.

If you pitch it over a river and then forget when you get out, your tent will be mine!

You must have to get those straps really tight. Sort of heavy also.

Not for me. I don't weigh much.

It's got a patent!
On the body of their website it says they have patent number 6,353,946 and others pending...

A patent search returns this Patent from the US Patent office.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too LtHiker. What kind of damage would that do to the trees?
skullcap

I don't see the big advantage to it. It's enough of a hassle sometimes finding the right trees to rig a tarp, let alone searching for just the right trees to pitch a tent. A few people inside the larger ones would have everyone sliding toward the middle, I would think.

True bit! I bet ya get some great "rebound" out out it!

The thing I can't understand is, "Why?". It's actually going ot be way heavier than a regular tent because of the heavier material needed on the floor, then the weight of the straps. Buy a damn Big Agnis matress, carry a lighter tent and sleep like a baby.

I call it the beer and pizza at 3am business model.

Deep into a case of beer and a cheap pizza after a night of carousing one guy looks at the other and says...

"Dude, we could make a cross between a hammock and a tent and sell it online!"

Well sure, there aren't too many places where you can't jerk off...

...oh and by the way, although you can, it's not a good idea to do that at a funeral...
bitpusher

I like the concept, although it's impractical. Funny thing is, they mention treeclimbing:

Now, there is even a sport called “recreational tree climbing” using rope and technical gear...Such users should thoroughly acquaint themselves with safety techniques and even consider harnessing themselves to the support web or surr ounding anchor points for sleeping and as needed for safety

But the damn thing is 3 point! It's hard enough finding 2 suitable points, let alone 3.

To the person asking about harm to the trees: None, I know from experience. Unless you're tying it to an extremely thin-barked tree.

Can you think of anything else in the backcountry that screams bow-chicka-bow-bow more?

I can see it now, on the Man Show, TT girls bouncing on Treases!

Kinda pricey but I think I like it. I have a hammock tent but it's too confining & strong weather gets up under the flaps. If it has a good storm cover that horizontal rain couldn't blow under, I would be interested.

But back to the subject of caramel-covered boobs...

It was interesting, they had to digitally smear the image of her boobs until she covered them with caramel. Then, they were apparently okay to view in all their caramel-covered glory...

...gives me an idea, hmmmmm......
