Now it's up in the air. Bought a new bedroom set for the mrs. and it looks like it might show up this weekend.

“Let's see - I have child care for the dogs, a ride down there, a place to stay Friday night, a ride to the trail head, a ride home on Monday. Can anyone see any reason I shouldn't come?

How about some details, guys? Should I get a sled to use or can I just throw my stuff on your sleds? What should I bring gear-wise? Do we need bear canisters or do we figure the bears will be sleeping?”

“Sleds? I don't have a sled and I'm pretty sure Navi doesn't either. This is just a backpacking trip with web feet 8)

I usually take my canister anyway...black bears can be out and about even in winter...although I haven't seen one in the snow yet.”

“I'm worried about not being able to haul my butt and a pack while on snowshoes. I understand that using a sled makes things much easier.”

“I'll be bringing mine, hard to haul enough of the luxuries without it.”
