How lucky I am!
Today there was a pool tournament at the local pool hall. I looked in there for a few moments. There was a new player there, a man maybe 30 to 40 or even 50 years old. He was definitely under two feet tall. I would estimate him as about 1'6". I have never seen anyone this small previously in my life.

He was shooting pretty well. He had special equipment, a unique bridge that slipped over his cue stick, an extension for the cue stick, etc. He sat in a deluxe electic cart in an elevator seat, which could swivel as well by electical control. And the manner, in which he moved around the table, showed him to be no stranger to playing the game or to moving that cart and seat into positions. It was a pleasure watching him play.

Since I had never seen him previously, or heard of him, most likely he is a snow-bird. He seemed to be alone, but someone probably brought him there and will likely return for him. The experience helped remind me how fortunate I am. I was born a normal person and all my children, as well. One greadson has a hearing defect, but this is trivial when compared with what some others have tolerate. How lucky I am!

There's a really great documentary called "Dwarves" that gives an interesting inside look at the lives of four different little people. Very well done film, and very heartwarming to watch. It's currently on HBO on Demand. Highly recommended.

If you see him again, tell him to tell Santa that I want a red rider BB gun with a compass in the stock next year for Christmas.

ROFLMAO Rockman!

All joking aside, it's cool to see anybody overcome thier mental/physical shortcomings (no pun intended).

Update
It turns out that this guy does live in the county, works for a large corporation in something like T&A, has been playing in another pool hall and wants to break into our daily, one-pocket(pool game) group.

If this guy fell on a pool table, he would be in danger of falling into a pocket!

Well, almost!
