Hasta la vista baby!
This place is become far to cliquish. It's not worth my time.

Have fun, I’ll be back in a few years to see what this place has become.

For now, I have other forums to torment.

who freakin cares....
you have been a pimple on everyones @sses for so long...it'll be refreshing without your shananagans here.

I say good riddance...its only as mundane as you make it, and if you want more out of TT and it isn't, then that just means that you don't backpack enough.

afterall, that IS what this forum is all about. The rest is just in between entertainment till the next trip.

Hey, Violin, what about us clueless newbies? I was just starting to get an appreciation for your wit and intelligence. I don't know anything about the 'troll' talk, so I can't say if you were a pain in anyone's butt or not, but the posts of yours I read were well thought out and entertaining. Goodby, and good luck to you. Come visit my "home" site, nwhikers.net. You'll find "Slugman" all over that place like a bad rash!LOL

Admit it!
You're not leaving, wuss. I have successfully had you BANNED! You knew it would come to this, and so you're trying to save face. No longer will I have to be defined by my nemesis. Uh, uhhhh.....(psst, you aren't really leaving are you?)
So, like I was saying, good riddance.

Reality Check (Yourself)
So, why do so many TT'ers feel compelled to comment on the amount of hiking others may or may not do? Having hiked with other TT'ers does not preclude enjoying or experiencing hiking at all. While I am not a regular here, I have been a member for about a year, and find that no matter when I return to see what's going on, there's always someone feeling higher and mightier than the next person.
Even if someone is only able or inclined to hike once a year, the fact that they posses even an ounce of interest in the activity entitles them every bit as much to post here as any member of the tight little TT Click.
Let's not forget that there are many regular TT'ers who find posts like "Newt Gingrich's illegitimate child and Michael Jackson join forces with the NRA to take over Austrailian vanilla bean trade; What's up with that?" pertinent to a Hiking Message Board.
People just need to lighten up and enjoy the ride.

I've been posting here on and off since 1998 under a variety of names. It never ceases to amaze me how many "Screw you guys, I'm going home" threads have been posted here during that time. People been complaining 'bout TT for a decade longer than TTs been around. Look, guys, TT is not a Columbia House DVD club subscription - there is no obligation, nothing will be sent to your homes if you don't respond in time. You can come and go as you please. I've gone a year without visiting the site. I've gone two months without missing a day. Whats the problem?

Slugman, you said: "Come visit my "home" site, nwhikers.net."

You really want links to ,a href="http://violinbackpacker.tripod.com/homepage.htm">his site posted all over there?

You'll be sorry (we all will!) Altho, Violin and BPJ could be an interesting matchup.

Wow, retugo. Get on board and become a winner (whiner) like the rest of us.
Violin won't hike with us, therefore he must leave this site. I guess if you are a hiking purist and can't stoop to our level, then you must disappear, also. (THAT'S A JOKE, OK????)

Ahh, come on man, don't leave because your daily Bush-bashing hasn't affected Bush's strong approval ratings across this great land! :Þ

For realz, I'd hate to see you go. It took me long enough to get over trail nymph®, and I hardly even knew her, much less an irregular regular on this forum like youz. As for me, I pop on and off at will, sneakin' around here and there, to and fro, standing up for all that is good, right, and honorable, sorta like the Lone Ranger, or Zorro, or Keith Partridge.

Whatever you do, best to you. And if you happen to run into Marcia Brady out there (sigh), tell her I love her, and it's not just some sort of TV love thing, but that I truly love her with all my heart and soul and with every fiber of my being. Thank you.

Hey marmot, you ever see the movie "The Big Lebowski" with Jeff Bridges? These Germans bring a ferret into his bathroom intending to throw it into the bath with him to scare him, and he at first says "Hey, nice marmot!" I always LMAO at that. Then the scene with John Goodman where they are scattering their friend's ashes at the beach, and the wind blows all the ashes into Jeff's face. Hilarious. Now just think, violin will miss such entertaining posts as this one! His loss!

Sure, Sluggo. I'd be pleased to vouch for ya. OK, everyone, I can promise you that Sluggo's not a troll, but the real deal. I even have a picture of him somewhere...

Ahh...here it is (sorry Slugman, you HAD to know this would be coming on this board...all in fun tho...)

Nope, Sluggo, never seen the movie...maybe I will sometime, don't know tho...

And with any link that you ever find from Violin...approach with extreme caution. Word to the wise...

Cool pic marmot. Those unfamiliar with Seattle may not know that that is a real VW bug in that picture. Hey, violin, you ever get out Seattle-ish way, give me a jingle at slugman19@hotmail.com, we'll go get lost in the trackless interior of Olympic national Park for a couple of weeks. Same invite to anyone else here, regardless of political affiliation.

*clicks own profile to see* YEP! That's me Sol! Posted a note on the Kearsarge - Shepard Pass trip thread here.

Have gotten some e-mails from Old Timer. Otter (the handle that TrailArtist goes by now) and I haven't managed to hook up with him. She's met him and done some mushroom hunting with him in the past. I have yet to meet the mystery man.

We're still in Washington. Moved to Seattle proper a little over a year ago. Job runs out end of March, and no prospects lined up for me yet. Who knows where we'll end up!
