It's so cold today you can smell the polar bear crap on the wind!

I have never been drunk enough to grope a witch's patoot, or any other part of a witch either.

One of the warnings from MEMA...

* Cover your mouth to protect your lungs from extremely cold air. Avoid taking deep breaths; minimize talking. *

Nearly 3 PM and it's only -4F. I don't think we'll hit zero today. Must be worse for you, twigeater.

It's warmed up! minus 7, minus 26 with the wind chill.

Tomorrow we get minus 40-45 wind chill again. It must suck to be an animal right now, fur or no.

What kind of candya$$ school do you go to. We had to get 2' of snow before my school closed down.

If we closed work and schools everytime we got 3" of snow, we'd be off half the winter. Ski resorts would do better, though. When people couldn't get to work because the roads were bad, they would go to the ski slopes.

It has to be over a foot and the state has to declare an emergency before I get off, and when that happens I spend all day shoveling snow. I always notice that when I'm shoveling snow, the folks who pray for snow are nowhere around. You'd think they would be happy to help me shovel if they love it so damn much!

twig- my company provides us with company cars and even if there's 1 inch of snow on the ground, we're not allowed to drive around in them (which is mostly what we do, house calls, appointments, etc) because we transport clients and if something happens, they don't want to be liable.

my school on the other hand is ghetto and gets nervous when the wind blows differently. hey, who am i to complain?

really! I'm getting with it as well...up until last winter I used to set my alarm an hour early if there was a storm in order to shovel out so I could get to work. One time I shovelled twice at night and once in the morning so I could get out. I thought it was really nice that there was no traffic on the way to work, but there were no people in the office either! Work had been cancelled and since it's not announced until 6am, I missed it. Those of us that showed up got some comp time for it though.

The last storms, I just waited for the work cancellation. I think it's silly, since this IS Maine, but who am I to say.

Never thought I'd feel fortunate to be in Ohio during the winter. Here in Akron its a balmy 26 degrees. Eat your hearts out New Englanders!

The other reason being that you too lazy to get urselves a U-Haul and move to Ohio.

j/k I'd love to live up there someday, in New Hampshire or Vermont. Looking forward to getting up there on the AT. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck in VA, and have been going on 5 years. Save me!

Hey Geo! I shoveled snow at 6:10 AM today. Lucky I wasn't living in this house last year...

At 6:10 a.m. I was still asleep. I did wake up momentarily and wonder what fool was shoveling snow at that hour though.
