I also know someone who has one, he also upgraded from the Vista and he's never mentioned anything about increased battery usage and he's usually pretty thorough with his tech reviews. I just placed an order for a few odds and ends and I did see and check the Use REI Dividend box on the online order form.

A dividend of $00.0 came up and I do know I will have a good sized one in a few weeks from all the crap I bought last year. :-)”

Don't dare get a payment to them after the due date! Like $40 if you are a day late, and the damn due date was some odd date like the 25th or something. I usually pay my bills the first and middle of the month and that REI due date kept getting overlooked.”

It is good to keep for the rare times I shop in an actual REI store as it has my membership number on it.

“I exclusively use the REI credit card. I pay it completely off at the first of the month online...nowadays, if you are late on one credit card payment ALL your credit cards can jump to the higher interest rates...with my pay periods coming every 2 weeks and my time/date challenged brain, it's best for me if I just pay everything at once even if they're not due until later in the month. I should get a pretty good REI dividend this year...I just hope it comes before my winter camping trip first week-end of March as I really need some stuff!”

“You don't have to place the order. Just fill it out, and on the last page it will recap the costs and apply the dividend amount. Then just don't click the button to send the order. Back out of the page without placing it.

“REI sells BA bags, but the 2 I'm considering - they don't sell. Considering the prices on BA bags are pretty much the same everywhere, it would be nice to use REI to get the dividends. Maybe they'll special order?? $500+ for 2 bags would pull in a decent dividend.

If you use a card other than REI it would be @ 8 percent, or $40.
