HPM already used our whopping $7 and change dividend on yet another backpack. It's for backapcking with Laurel, to carry her stuff, honest! ;)

It's an REI Mars pack.

I got a whoppin' 22 bucks!!

Guess we're gonna have to start paying full price - we had, like 600 bucks worth of purchases that were "non-dividendable."

Mna, I blew mine before I even got the check in the mail. Phone ordered a Katadyn Mini and then knocked off 20% and gave me the $12 I had in dividends off, so the whole think was about $70 and I had it shipped to my local store.

No more clogged filters in the field. Hurrah!

54 bucks....
Not a bad return. I got a bearvault, and with the coupon, the dividend, and free shipping to the local REI I had to pay three bucks! What a great deal.

Speaking of the dividend has anyone used there 20% off coupon yet? I was reading the coupon and it says that you can't use it on sale items or items with prices ending in $._3 or $._9. This could be very disapointing, I want to use the coupon to by a pro light 4 sleeping pad ($99.99).

This was my lowest dividend and don't have any idea right now what I'll use it on.

Well, THinkbubelz & I did not buy much this year, since we had outfitted ourselves the prior 2 years. I think my dividend was $7.50 or something like that! (not even enough to get my titanium spork!)

Most of our stuff was on clearance this year... LOL

Geo Honey, you don't need to bring it with you. When they input your member number, it automatically applies it once. =D

Well, I bought up $36 worth of stuff and they paid me the other $5 because it was less than $10. Nothing like getting paid to haul gear out of a store!

Around that time. Although when I was in line the other day, I heard the cashier ask a customer if they wanted to use their dividend.

I didn't ask, because I was in a complicated return situation (they had to search over 438 items to find the one I was returning) and by the time I remembered, I was half way home.

I am soooo ready for mine. I have been using that darn REI Visa all year to pay for EVERYTHING. I will have a solid dividend this year for sure because I get a dividend for everything I get at REI + one for everything I purchase elsewhere.

I believe that the dividends are available at the checkstand before they make to your mailbox. What leads me this conclusion is that I have used my dividend in previous years before the paper dividend ever got to me (REI clerk asked at checkout, as above). I do not know if there is a way to check the value of a dividend online.
tahoe

you might want to try it out online. there is a checkbox to "use your dividend" when you check out. see what it does if you check it.
Jimmy san

That's what I do to check my dividend.
I go through checkout and abandon the cart when it shows my dividend.

They should add a "check my dividend" section to the account section of the site.

If you have the REI visa card it will tell you what you have earned YTD at the top. Now I'm not sure if this amount would include anything you bought at REI not using the card.

We're going to have a tiny little didvidend for 2006 but we are well on our way to a nice fat 2007 one! You all holler when you manage to get a number on REI.com. I think it's too early to even try.

patience...
The dividends come out just in time to use in combination with the 20% off one regular priced item sale in February (or is it March?). No, the credit card amount of dividend earned does not show the total dividend from REI...they are seperate.

stikmon your correct. I was checking out the statement again and things that I acutually bought at REI with the card didn't show on the dividend balance. So they are seperate.

the REI Visa Statement tells me the REI dividend I have earned year to date from the credit card. It doesn't tell me the total dividend balance at REI.

i checked tried using the shopping card method to get my balance, but it didn't work. they must not be ready yet.

say if you buy something and then return it to REI do you lose the dividend you earn on the purchase?

Because it would be to good to be true if you kept it.
