Back home, premix an bottle of equal parts Bailey's, Frangelica, and Kahlua. Add to strong camp coffee in appropriate amounts.

Warm Gatorade can be substituted for Tang - it's really quite tasty.

That is, since you guys are too wussy to drink REAL Slivovitz (where's Tarabull when you need a man?).

lol... I'm right here, Grem.

I don't usually do warm drinks. If the weather is cold, I like to drink shots. I like how you can feel the shot going down and warming your belly.

I'll second the Rumplemintz and Hot chocolate recommendation. Takes like an Andees mint.

Growing boys need their tang after all.

Mixing Tang and alcohol can be hazardous. But I'll never learn.

Straight liquor is quicker.

Like tarabull said, nothing like that warm feeling as it coats your insides.

Nothing like that cold feeling when your face hits the ground though. LOL!

The last time I drank vodka and tang I accidently drank 3/4 of the fifth (Shmirnoffe sivler). Had to hike 12 long hilly miles with the Shmirnoff flu. I felt, looked and smelled like hell.

Yes BM... instead of the customary shaking of hands as a greeting... Nigel and I have adopted a more Canine approach of walking up to each other and sniffing each other's butts.

errrr... Nigel = Nigal.

Why do I always spot the mispellings AFTER I hit submit.

Nobody still drinks beer in the cold? My last winter trip birch and I snowshoed out about 1/2 mile to make a beer run. Becks Dark make wonderful slushies!

Beer is nasty warm during a summer hike...I would rather drink it on a winter hike. As for that cognac, pass the bottle!

I had some pints of guinness in the top of my black pack once on a summer hike. I had to open them up so they'd cool down. Beer at any temp is my mantra.
