I say we have an old fashioned TT beat down. I needs a release!

treebait - I'd write it off. She owes A LOT of peeps and has never delivered.....

It's not worth it Q. I have not spoke with her in several months, I have my email blocked from receiving her email, I don't know her phone number, and I don't know where she lives...last was with her mother, of which I don't know where that is. So, if she is trying to seek me out, this is about the only place she can since she knows that if she shows up at my door, I will call the police. If it is her, which I have a gut feeling it is, then like usual, she will do what she needs to do to satisfy her hunger for attention then wither away for awhile until she hungers for it again. If it is not her, then this new person is doomed until they prove they are not her. Agree?

Ski - An old scab was picked and it started bleeding, that's all. What happened, happened a long time ago. But alas, just like Herpies, once you think it's gone, it comes right back.....

Well, I've been around for a long time, but I don't remember any of this. Maybe that's why I don't remember it...I've been here too long.

I REALLY cannot wait to get this lamp now!!!

I'll be sure to post several photos from several different angles from around my already several item-filled apartment.

Absolutely amazing what can just pop up in a thread, isn't it?

LOL, Wolfeyes. We will certainly be looking forward to criticizing your placement of the lamp. Are you sure you shouldn't spend your dough on gear? ;-)

Thank you, Skiracer. Apparently, from the TWO photos on my webshots, unless you had actually been to my apartment, you really cannot tell that I may or may not have "enough items." It boggles my mind that a stranger may have been here.

I don't know, wolfeyes. I've seen your webshots pics. It's pretty obvious you already have some candles, some CDs, a tennis ball, and... a couch and bed. Don't you think you should just stop there? WTF do you need a lamp for?

WOW! Ok, think what you want to think, do whatever you want- this place isn't worth my time or energy. I can find a better way to spend my time, and find a better place to research what I want in hiking gear. I feel bad for this "Yvonne" chick. Sounds to me like you all hate her guts for various reasons. Oh, and for any future reference, make sure you're "outing" the right person. You all are just too cruel and clique-ish for my tastes.

"If it is not her, then this new person is doomed until they prove they are not her. Agree?"
(from Wolfeyes)

Nope. Not worth it.

Here's your chance to prove yourself, or is it not.....worth it.....

Who cares. I wouldn't mind if Coyote13 chose to post on TT again, it would just be nice if she'd stop pretending to be new people and just be herself.

Please note, she should not be mistaken for ivygal, here from Michigan. We have met ivygal and she's real and one hell of a person! I jusyt want to make sure that was out there.

LMAO! Yes, I play the guitar, TT. I am not that good. I just mess around. Was gonna look into getting a 12 string but rethinking that now since I already have six strings and what do I need 6 more for?
Wolfeyes

there is no dubot that the 12 string has a great sound, tho. My daddy taught me how to play (open style) on a 12 string. If you get a good one, you will not be sorry!

I've only messed around on a 12-string and never had to tune it!!!

Playing is great therapy after work.

We've got a bunch of electrics around the house.
I miss having an acoustic.
I want a JUMBO!

That rock lamp would be a piece'o cake.

Finding the right material would be the trick, I suppose. On the Moes(?) Hardness Scale, diamond is a "10", and gypsum is a "1". The mineral used would have to fall somewhere in between, natch.

Sandstone would prolly be the rock of choice, but would need to be coated with a clear acrylic (or what never) so's to not be too chalky/dusty.

Shaley rocks tend to be brittle - kinda like ceramic tile - which would be more difficult to drill. Shales are cleaner, tho. They have good cleavage, too.

I suspect that a common hammerdrill with a carbide tipped masonry bit would work with most any rock <7 in hardness. The rock would hafta be well secured so's to lessen vibration - which is the cause of much stone/masonry splittage. Prolly start with a 1/4" pilot hole, then increase bore with larger bits - 5/16, 3/8, etc - until desired diameter is achieved.

So...
Who wants one?

Does it have a lipstick tube pickup in the hole?

TT - Yep, yep, that's the one. No pickup, the holes are plugged, tho. If I gets some extra time tonight, I'll take a pic of it and post it. She's a real hum dinger!

Oh, chit. I know what yer talking about. Nope not that one, sorry. I forgot about that style. Shayt, the ones yer talkng about are real rare in good shape. I have seen one in person, tho. I just looked to see if there was something that indicated what model it is, but I don't see anything. You know anything about them?

Mine is a thin hollow body that has a round air hole in the center and plugs on either side so you can put a pick up in it. It also has plugged holes were the control knobs would go. I could email ya a pic.
