Tried a bunch of new ones I think I liked Mad Hatter IPA best. From New Holland Brewery.

I tried a "chili" beer once down in Texas. Some sort of pale lager with a serrano pepper floating in it (bottled).

Burned going down and absolutely set my guts on fire about two hours later.

Issaqhah Brewery, Bullfrog Ale

go forth, find it - enjoy it. Very unique flavored ale, with perhaps a little ginger and nutmeg spices.

I like all Sierra Nevada. Right now stuck on Torpedo lateley. All the time in my fridge tho is Lost Coast Downtown Brown. I'd switch to Left Hand Brewery's 400 Pound Monkey from CO if they distributed to CA.

I love the original Sierra Nevada and never thought their seasonals were as good.

Got some Ranger IPA tonight.

The Abita Brewery has ne ruined. Their IPA is excellent, the seasonal beers have been exceptionally good and the turbo dog is a staple.

Today calls for a home brew - an Irish Red with a Roush malt for a taste of smoke.

None right now. But, I have a half of a growler of the Vanilla Porter from Abita Springs Brewery waiting on me at home.

I have to polish it off. We are going to the Abita Brew Pub tomorrow to re-supply.

So far, it is my favorite brew from Abita. I have been a Turbo Dog fan for several years and for the past 6 months, I have been able to sample just about every one of their brews.

I will probably throw down a few Andy Gators while I am down there and bring the Vanilla Porter back in the Growler.

Ok. The double rye at Abita Brew Pub is good but not stellar

However the Mardi Gras Bock is excellent!

More to follow. Its a work in progress

I'm trying a Magic Hat "black as night" winter lager. It's quite a bit hoppier than the Sam Adams black lager, but it's got s very strong, bitter chocolate toasty late/ aftertaste. Then about a minute later the hops hit. HPM won't like this at all, but it's quite tasty. It's also opaque dark dark brown.

The other night I had some Sam Adams Cherry Cohocolate Bock, available in small quantities and only on tap. Damn, it was tasty.

I've moved on from Racer 5. I think they grew their distribution too much and quality has suffered. Firestone's Union Jack IPA is the new game in town and mmmmmmmmmm...
