That's fairly timely, Maple, LOL -----

What have we here.....? That Czech Pilsner (as usual), a couple of Guinness Draughts (cans and bottles, take your pick), two or three Beamish, et c.

Hmmm. A fifth of Tanquerey...

Man, I need to make some martinis before I eat all these olives. I found some of the Santa Barbara olives stuffed with bleu cheese the other day.... They're pretty good, but it isn't REAL bleu cheese. The real thing would be way too crumbly, I suppose.

tilt i have a question about martinies,

if you place your glass on the washer and it enters the spin cycle, is that "shaken or stired"

Front-loader or top-loader?
Tilt

umm that would be a front loader Alex for $1000.00
mapleleaf

Then that would be shaken. Top loader would be stirred.

I think you get more serious vibration and crashing about from a top-loader with an unbalanced load..... wet towels especially.

To impart a swirling motion, the load should be more balanced and the shaker cup should be firmly attached to the machine in some fashion.

Front-loaders.... I don't have enough data. I think they may be intrinsically stable to the point of uselessness. Why don't you run some experiments and let us know?

i only ask you because i placed my glass on the washer which is right next to the fridge to refill it with wine, and it went into the spin cycle. It almost threw it across the room

"Black Martinis"
For a celebratory evening, wifey and I went to the Russian Tea Room here in Chicago for dinner. I ordered a "Black [Vodka] martini. I don't know what was in it, but it was great! Smooth and tasty. So much so a second was in order!

Rick Derringer's dead, though, isn't he... ?

Hmmm. Maybe I better rethink this.

I just did a search on 'Black Martini' and got some weird results. Vodka, Chambord & Blue Curacao? 2/3 Vodka, 1/3 Sambuca?

I could be wrong, but somehow neither of those sounds like something you'd find at the Russian Tea Room, LOL

Ya don't say?

I saw Rick and bass and drums play on a flatbed trailer in a parking lot in front of a Baltimore area M.A.R.S. Music store.

That son-of-a-#&%!$ is one of the hottest pickers I have ever seen!
